There is no economy in going to bed early to save light when the result is twins.
I live in Norway, where I work in one of the biggest public libraries in the country. Between family, my full time job and my feeble attempts of a Real Life, there is no time left for writing stories. I read a lot though, and the plot bunnies keep jumping. Sooner or later... Sooner or later... Probably later...

The Chronicles of Narnia
We met the young boy Digory Kirke in "The Magicians Nephew" and the old (retired?) Professor Kirke in "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "The last Battle". What happened in between these events? Where was his professorate? Could it have been Oxford? Lyra's Oxford (His dark Materials)? Hogwarts (Harry Potter)? Unseen University (Discworld)? Xavier's Institute for Gifted Youngsters (X-men)? Was he a friend and/or mentor of Giles in the Watchers Council (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)? A friend of Mr. Merryman Lyon (The Dark is Rising)? A colleague of Indiana Jones? A friend of Daniel Jackson's parents (Stargate)? Or something else entirely?
When Dean was a baby and toddler, his mother took him to health checks and made sure he got all his vaccines. Was John, a new widower and father of two demanding sons, able to do the same with Sam? Polio vaccines are given several times over a child's first years (at least in Norway), and without any of Sam's original papers (assumed destroyed in the fire) and a family constantly on the move, will he get his vaccines? Polio was endemic in the USA until the late 1980s. Most people, even not vaccinated, will not be infected, and even if they get infected they get no lasting effects. But a few will end up with paralyzed... How will this work out, with the famous Winchester luck?
