Well, what can I say? I'm a single guy, older than I like to admit to (but I look younger, my family keep our youth well) living in North-Central Iowa. As you can probably tell, I'm big into Harry Potter, Black Lagoon, The Hunger Games and Battle Royale.
My interests include history, foreign cultures (particularly East Asia), firearms and weapons in general, SF and fantasy of all types, role-playing games, and true crime; however, just about anything can capture my attention. My favorite authors are probably S.M. Stirling, Harry Turtledove, Robert Heinlein, and Lois McMaster Bujold, but that list could change at any time.
I'm multilingual--I speak reasonable Mandarin Chinese, and can read and write it to some extent. I also have some German, but it's rustier than I like.
Currently, I'm between jobs. I've been a working freelance writer in the past, and would like to get into ghostwriting. Unfortunately, there are so many scams out there to prey on would-be writers that I'm extremely wary of trusting anybody.
I'm currently working on an AU crossover between Black Lagoon and Harry Potter where Harry Potter was raised in Roanapur, as well as a Song of Ice and Fire AU where Asha Greyjoy goes to Kings Landing...and ends up with Tyrion Lannister. And I'm doing a crossover between Azumanga Daioh and Girls und Panzer. I'm surprised that nobody else has thought of that one.
One crossover that I haven't seen done yet that's tempting me is a cross between Bloody Jack and the Temeraire series. This sounds like a natural to me.
I haven't abandoned any of my fics; even if it's a longish time between updates, I've always finished what I started. So keep on checking back, and I do love all reviews! My story Career, a Hunger Games Story, has been nominated for "Best Oneshot" at fanfictiongrammys.weebly.com, and the more nominations it gets, the better chance it has! So go and nominate it, if you like the story!
