Author has written 17 stories for Harry Potter, Sherlock, and Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
As my brilliant creative writing professor said, "I’m nothing special. I’m just a fairly normal person who decided writing was something precious to me, & I kept doing it until I found a voice. I hope I can help you find one too." Can't say it any better than that. I hope you like my voice.
A little about me:
Hi, I'm Sammy. I’m a Sagittarius born in the year of the Dragon (not that I really care about the astrological side of it, but it’s a pretty awesome combo). I’ve technically been an ‘adult’ for years now, but calling myself one still feels weird – I’ll always be a kid at heart. In college, I studied music and creative writing – they’re both extremely special to me & I love expressing myself through either. My dream is to travel the world (the list of places I want to go is huge), & the wanderlust only increases with each successive trip. A proud Ravenclaw, I’m part of the generation that grew up with Harry Potter - that series will always hold a special place in my heart. A list of books I enjoy would be far too extensive to post here, so I’ll leave it at this – my favorite thing about books is that they have no boundaries. Anything is possible when you open a book, & that’s a magic you can’t find anywhere else.
About my writing:
I’ve loved making up stories since I was little – in that regard, I haven’t been in the fanfiction world for long, but I absolutely love it. It’s really fun to dive into a world you already love so much & see what twist you can put on it yourself. I personally like to keep everyone in character as much as possible, regardless of the setting – authors write their characters the way they do for a reason, so I try to keep them that way as much as I can. It’s also a rather fun challenge, when you think about it.
You’ll never see anything along the lines of ‘I’ll update when I get x reviews’ in my stories – I write because it’s something I love to do, so new chapters go up when they’re where I want them to be, regardless of how many hits I get. Obviously, reviews are great – feedback is the most important way to improve your writing, & I read & appreciate every review I receive – but they’re not the driving force behind my updates. I tend to update fairly quickly anyway, & as I’ve always been a bit of a perfectionist, I never put forth less than my best effort – if you’re taking the time to read my stuff, I’ll at least try to make it good for you.
Lastly, my favorites list – I don’t put stories there without good reason, so if you’re looking to read some truly outstanding work, check it out.
Thanks for dropping by, & I hope you enjoy my stories! :)
