'Sup, everybody! Welcome to my FF profile!
MY WRITING POLICY:
I DO write a minimum of 2K words for every chapter of every multi-chapter story I write. Anything less is just too short. Unless it's a one-shot. Then I make exceptions. Exceptionally good exceptions.
I DO check my spelling and grammar like a hawk. I am a Grammar Nazi. Get used to it, since Grammar Nazis are the only Nazis that are actually legal. Then there are feminazis. Don't listen to those.
I DO write every day. It's a lovely, productive hobby. A bit time-consuming, but I love every minute of it.
I DO update when I can, but it's not every day. I have a life outside of FanFiction, you know. No girlfriend yet, but there is hope. I hope. Yes, I hope there is hope for me getting a girlfriend. I just hope she's as much of a nerd as I am, or at least partially. There's a lot of repeats of the word 'hope' in this part of my policy, isn't there? I hope I can stop. Aw, crap, I said it again. I'm hopeless. Crap.
I DO NOT write more than one story at a time, unless absolutely necessary. If my mind is in two places at once, then so should my body. Oh, Hermione Granger, how did you sway Professor McGonagall into giving you that time necklace?
I DO NOT write any less than 2K words or any more than 5K words for every chapter of every multi-chapter story I write. Anything longer takes forever! Like, three days! Ugh. But one-shots, however, have no limit.
I DO NOT like it when people just favorite/follow my stories without a review. It irks me so much. Like, SERIOUSLY? I've got like 40 faves/follows on Rise of the Black Mesa. Why did most of them not review?
I DO NOT like bad reviews that say things like "your story sucks", or "get off FFN, you're a terrible writer". I will block those people, so don't think otherwise. Seriously, I had to do that with one reviewer. It wasn't fun.
MY READING POLICY:
I DO like a good story. They're just so rare these days, because everyone's writing boring old one-shots. Although, I do enjoy the occasional one-shot myself. Especially Smash Brothers one-shots that pair Link and Samus. The perfect SSB couple... Sorry Snake, but Nintendo characters stick together. You don't qualify.
I DO like stories with good summaries and well-written content. It's just... so beautiful.
I DO NOT like poor spelling or grammar. I am a Grammar Nazi. I've already said that, haven't I?
I DO NOT like extremely frequent vulgarity in stories, unless it's Red vs. Blue. Then it's understandable. Glory to the Red Team! Grif, stop being so insubordinate and lazy!
I DO NOT like summaries that say "Just read it, I suck at writing summaries". People who say that do not suck at writing summaries, they're just too lazy to do it. Get off your butts, and go sit down and write a good summary! Kind of contradictory, actually.
I DO NOT like long author's notes. Keep it short! I want to read a story about Link's life, not yours! No offense, though. If you want to tell me about life, PMs will be fine.
I DO NOT like writers who disobey the rules of rating their stories and summaries. Summaries are K! Stories that have a ton of coarse language are not T, they're M! And no porn! Go write that crap somewhere else, or I get to report it! Seriously, I'm evil to stories like that.
MY REVIEWERS POLICY
I DO like nice reviews and positive feedback. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
I DO like constructive criticism. However, I don't like it when it goes to the point where the reviewer is just being a dick. So don't be that "Constructive Critic".
I DO moderate Guest Reviews. So far, all Guest Reviews have made it into the "reviews" of my stories. I have yet to receive a bad one.
I DO NOT like reviewers who are being complete dicks to people. Don't want to name names, but I've heard Voltalia the Majestic One is pretty damn ruthless to some people. Watch out for her. Seriously. I've heard she got some kid to stop writing altogether because of her review on one of his stories. And because she's a bit of a Zelda fan, I'll have to watch out for her. She won't be hating on my stories anytime soon. No sir. Not that she would anyway, since my stories are pretty awesome. (So I've heard from my lovely reviewers. Thanks, guys.)
I DO NOT like dickish reviews. "Kill yourself" and related reviews are examples of dickish reviews. I've had none, but just a warning, I will block you if you say something like that.
MY REVIEWING POLICY
I DO like to give good reviews. I'm not a mean person. But throw a mean insult at me, and I'll get down and dirty with you (Not in a sexual way, for all you dirty-minded kids). Don't mess with a Wizzud.
I DO like to help people's stories get better. I point out any grammar/spelling mistakes I see in a nice way. I'm not like "Oh you spelled 'actually' like 'actully', you suck at writing." That would just be mean.
I DO NOT like to bash writers. Saying things like "Your stories are terrible, so you're terrible" and "Go kill yourself because you suck at writing" is just rude. I happen to be a pleasant and educated person, I don't have time for such cruel behavior.
A NOTE TO MY READERS
So, just a note to all of you who have been reading my stories and those of you who are just beginning: both The Great War and Of Fire and Memories have small, undetailed sequences of rape in them, with victims from both genders. I would just like to let everyone know that I understand just how utterly horrible such a crime is, regardless of which gender the victim is. I will never, under any circumstances, condone it, and I despise anyone and everyone who commits rape. I would also like to say to anyone who has been unfortunate enough to experience this violence before that I am truly sorry for what you had to go through. You didn't deserve it, and if you haven't told anyone yet, I urge you to do so as soon as possible. The sooner you tell someone, the less time you have to worry about it and the sooner you can put it all behind you.
I am, unfortunately, going to have to stop writing for a while, at least until I've finished school (I'm so close!). I'd like to get through my last few courses before I go back to writing. So don't worry, I will be back! I just need to finish high school first.
So I was just flipping through Rise of the Black Mesa, and I realized that this story is in dire need of a rewrite. I knew the writing wasn't all good, but I didn't realize it was that messy. So, once I've finished school and Of Fire and Memories, I'll do both Heroes Return and the Rise of the Black Mesa rewrite at the same time.
Don't mind me... just freaking bored. School's boring. I want to write. I want to finish my stories. But I can't, because school. Meh... Gosh, I'm so sorry, you guys. I know you're all waiting for an update. I wish I could give one to you. But I have to work on my parents' schedule (I'm homeschooled), so that means I can't do stuff on my own time. I'm trying to get as much done in a day as possible, but Math is freaking pissing me off (What else is new?) and English... well, I'm almost done with it, but I have to take online exams, and I can't because I need that computer time for Math. I only get 3 hours of computer time, thanks to my idiot parents who put parental controls on. I'm 18, I don't need no parental controls on my computer! I need a laptop... badly. But first a job.
Sorry I'm whining to you guys. I'm just so tired of school and stuff. I really, really, really want to keep writing. Just don't mind me. I'll just be sitting here on my butt, bored as all hell... Meh...
First off... STEAM SALE. Been busy buying stuff this week, including Outlast (Heart attack just waiting to happen). I'm still waiting for Alien: Isolation to go down.
Now, for the actual announcement, I'm going to kill myself.
You thought I was committing suicide, didn't you? Well, nope. And no, I'm not joking about suicide. I know it's a serious matter, I just thought I'd give you guys a little scare. Sorry. :P
What I mean when I say I'm mentally killing myself is, I'm going to overload my brain with schoolwork until I'm done. Which means that, and I'm going to make a sincere, solemn promise right now that I will finish homeschool within the next two weeks. But I'm only doing one subject at a time. Here's what's gonna go down:
MONDAY: I'm going to do my exam prep for English.
I'm not done with Math yet, guys, and I won't be for a couple more weeks. This week I'll be away for my stepbrother's wedding, so I won't get anything done. The following week, however, I'm going to try and get Math done and out of the way.
A Very Hylian Christmas
STORIES IN PROGRESS:
The Legend of Zelda: Of Fire and Memories
The Legend of Zelda: Heroes Return
In case anyone is wondering, Rise of the Black Mesa has absolutely NOTHING to do with Half-Life. I figured out that "Black Mesa" is from Half-Life AFTER I got about 10 chapters into the story, and there's no way I'm gonna change it. So if it confuses you, oh well. I'm afraid it's not worth editing 62 chapters just to change a name, let alone four whole stories.
The Chaos Saga
-The Legend of Zelda: Rise of the Black Mesa (COMPLETE)
-The Legend of Zelda: The Great War (COMPLETE)
-The Legend of Zelda: Of Fire and Memories (IN PROGRESS)
-The Legend of Zelda: Heroes Return (PLANNED)
Zelda Wii U
-The Legend of Zelda: Past Remnants (PLANNED)
-Metroid Prime: Rebirth (PLANNED)
Attack on Titan/Zelda Crossover
-Attack on Titan: Mystery Warrior (PLANNED)
I would just like to let my readers know that The Legend of Zelda: Of Fire and Memories is not entirely continuous, meaning it doesn't flow like the rest of my stories. The first part jumps from scene to scene, showing off several moments in the Hero of Time's life that leads up to Link's (Hero of Twilight) origin and where he came from. The second half, however, will be more like my other stories in the Saga.
Also, please note that this story will not be as long as the first two. I know for a fact that it will not reach the usual 100K word count, which I aim for in my novel-length stories. This story will be from 1/2 to 2/3 the length of The Legend of Zelda: The Great War. The reason it's so short is that I do not want to dwell too much on this small portion of time. So, once I finish this story, I will be able to move on to The Legend of Zelda: Heroes Return.
By the way, I want to give a huge thank you to Pvt. Noah for dedicating his story "The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule's Destiny" to me. It's quite an honor, and the story itself is already very good! I urge you to check it out. :D
