Author has written 4 stories for Ultimate Spider-Man.
*UPDATE AUGUST 14, 2016 - I'll be leaving to a business trip for two months here within the next few weeks. I can guarantee Chapter 7 on VR to be published but from there, I'll be absent until mid-October. When I return, rest assured I'll get right back into it as best I can and keep you guys updated! Thank you for your time and patience! :D*
"Whether you're writing about vampires, zombies, werewolves, demons, witches, ghosts, or serial killers, the tone, the mood, the settings, the characters, and the plot should be so uniquely personal that only you could have possibly written it. That is the only reason anyone should ever write any story, ever, because you are the only person who could have written it."
- Wrath James White
"I write to give myself strength. I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I'm afraid of."
- Joss Whedon
"No one can tell your story so tell it yourself. No one can write your story so write it yourself."
"Writers aren't exactly people... They're a whole bunch of people trying to be one person."
- F. Scott Fitzgerald
"There are days when I should be writing, and I am so tired that I can't. And the fatigue also affects my emotions, making me not even care about writing. There are days when I wake up so angry, I can barely speak, and also days when I am so sad."
- Nicola Griffith
My name is Aferus...
Thank you for coming across my page! Whether it had been through a thoughtful review I've left, a private message, or simply having read one of my stories, I thank you for taking the time to read whatever works I have written! :D
So, I'm a dedicated writer, a passionate writer's advocate, an unwavering writing enthusiast, and a humble yet curious man doing his best to delve deeper into the mysteries of writing and how it improves all of a mankind. I've dedicated my time here to write the best stories I have to offer, inspire other writers to write their best, and to find the best writers this site has to offer and chronicle their works and pay tribute to them. I'm doing the best I can so far! :)
I'm currently actively writing in the Ultimate Spider-Man Fan Fiction community and have been since February 2014, having introduced The Phantom Trilogy, which is a series of stories revolving Spider-Man and his adventures with my first ever OC, Alejandro Cruz, "The Phantom". By writing these stories, they've helped me cope with some of the hardest and darkest times of my life, it's why they mean so much to me. The trilogy consists of (in order): The Phantom, Specter Haven, and the currently in-progress Vanquished Revenants. I encourage you all to read and review them, if you wish! Feedback is always appreciated! :)
Apart from that, I'm a network technician by trade, comic-book reader some days, an avid video-gamer, and a romantic at heart! I'm of Hispanic origin, which influences some of my writings. My hopes and dreams are to one day write for Marvel or DC Comics and put my work out there for people to enjoy! I'm still young, so hopefully that dream is in the future for me!
Additionally, I encourage constructive criticism for both writers and readers alike. If I've written something that doesn't make sense or I've left a loophole in the story, please point it out. It'll only help me write a better story for you all! If I've left a review, I place my time and effort into making sure your work improves. I'm not going to claim that I know everything about writing, but I'll do my best to help, and that's all I'll ever try to do for you all! :D Please, don't hesitate to contact me for anything you might have concerns or comments about!
Also (one last thing), I have the tendency to be able to write a whole lot in a short amount of time, so my stories end up being hundreds of thousands of words long! D: It's been a bit of an issue for me but it's just the way I write and it's extremely difficult for me to deviate from it! I appreciate your patience and time into reading my work if you do decide to delve into it, I truly do! :)
"As always, feedback is appreciated!"
Thank you for reading my Bio! :)

There is some foreshadowing here, but you'll have to wait until I get to that point to find out! :)
...Yeah, it'll be my longest story yet. I'm estimating it'll take me well into late 2017 in writing.
Aferus' Chronological Wall of Fame
These are some of the greatest writers I've had the pleasure and the honor of either befriending, work with, or read their work! :D I highly recommend taking a look at their stories. I'm definitely glad I did! You can quickly find them in my Favorite Authors tab!
I discovered this writer in early 2013, having caught the attention of her story, His and Hers, which is a must read for anybody who enjoyed Danny Phantom and the relationship between him and Sam throughout the series. She was the first writer whose work inspired me to write Fan Fiction and she's done work with Yu-Gi-Oh as well. Although inactive as of now, her work is still worth the read and review!
Discovered Feburary 6, 2014, this user was my first interaction with anyone from the Ultimate Spider-Man community. He was a prominent reviewer of most of the work in the community and defiantly shipped the Ava/Peter relationship. His story, Wishing You'd Notice Me, was one of the best I've ever read, having helped him revise his drafts and provide him with a usable cover image. Although inactive as of now, he remains one of the best writers I've ever had the honor to know!
This user left a review for my first story on March 25, 2014. An active and avid writer for the Ultimate Spider-Man community, he's helped create a foundation of wonderful stories for this community through the years, remaining as one of the few standing writers/readers from the early days of this community. His current project, bonds of betrayal Spider-mans end, is my current favorite to read from his collection. I definitely recommend giving his work a read and review!
Discovered October 15, 2014, I met this user through reviews on my first Phantom story. She helped me piece together, advise on, as well as suggest new scenes in Specter Haven. Along with being a really great friend, her story Thundering Hearts defined her marvelous skills as a writer. Although it was a two-chapter one-shot, it is an incredible read, with a lot of emotion and passion packed into one. Although inactive as of now, she remains one of few writers I know who can portray romance in such an incredible light. I am honored to have befriended and know her!
The Story's Shadow
This writer first left a review for my story, Specter Haven, on January 13, 2016, and quickly made my acquaintance! A writer whose work is inspired by a mixture of personal experiences, legends, myths, and history, he's written some pretty popular works, including Spider of the Round Table and Blood Curdling. He's also working on a popular Young Justice and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover series called True Heroes! A great writer and an even greater friend, his works are worth the read, I guarantee it!
Discovered January 21, 2016, I first came across this user by reading the first chapter of her story Runaway Lovers, which I consider to be a legacy story for having been an actively updated story for two years now. It's one of the most best-written stories I've read in the community and on the site and she remains possibly the best writer I've had the honor of knowing on FanFiction. Her other works Payback and A Change in the Weather are also worth reading! She's fairly inactive as of now, but her works are still of great interest!
Discovered May 29, 2016, Although I never had the honor or opportunity of knowing this writer, I've read her works Ava and Peter (which is to be believed to be the first Ava/Peter story in USM) as well as Their First. She's no longer active in the community but her legacy stories remain with incredible content and incredible writing. She's also written in the Glee, Harry Potter, and Heroes communities.
This writer began following me on June 29, 2016, which sparked my curiosity to read her works and see what talents she had. She wrote two one-shots in the Teen Titans Fandom that uses the character Terra as the main character. Although written in both 2013 and 2014, I quickly found her works to be nicely written and very emotionally driven. Having been formerly known as Echolove, this writer had great potential and a lot of determination to be one of the most well-written I've ever come across!
I stumbled upon this writer's story, Sabrina Marquez, the Ghost Thief, on July 4, 2016, which was the first time I embarked out to search for a well-written Danny Phantom FanFic. Her one and only story didn't disappoint! Being a native of South America, she's molded her experiences with the Latin culture to create a wonderful story of wit by the fantastic young OC that she's created! I recommend giving it a read if you're a Danny Phantom fan!
I found this writer's work on July 10, 2016. She writes primarily in the Sonic the Hedgehog Fandom, having written Brothers Through Everything and my favorite, The Strongest is the Heart. This writer placed a great deal of emotional content and personal inspiration into each chapter, placing her own OC based off herself in her stories. Although I've little knowledge of Sonic the Hedgehog, I still found her works to be an enjoyable read! She remains fairly active on FanFiction!
I discovered this writer's works on August 8, 2016, having finally been introduced to the Young Justice show. Her story, Better Asleep immediately drew me in with its emotional and passionate story that featured a strong Artemis/Wally connection, which I've come to enjoy as a prominent element in the Young Justice series. Most of her works primarily revolve around the pairing and I've come to greatly enjoy them!
Quite possibly the most extraordinary pair of writers I've ever come across on August 13, 2016, this user is actually of pair of sisters who work together to write some marvelous and incredibly well-written stories! The first of their USM short-fics, Partners, being one of my all-time favorites, featuring a different twist on the Ava/Peter craze by stepping back from the romance and delving deeper into the friendship component of their relationship. I'm deeply honored to have met these writers, truly! I highly recommend giving their works a look for sure! They definitely don't disappoint!
