Favorite Movies: Lord of the Rings, Tangled, Most Disney movies, All Pixar movies, the Syfy Alice miniseries, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, The A-Team
Favorite Authors: JRR Tolkien, David Eddings, Tamora Pierce, Patricia C Wrede, Mercedes Lackey, Terry Prachett, Orsen Scott Card, Gail Carriger, generally Sci-fi and Fantasy authors
Likes: Reading, Drinking tea, Cats, Watching TV/ Movies, Singing along to Musicals, Hanging out with Friends, or Meeting New People
Dislikes: Spelling and grammar mistakes. I mean, I can understand a few errors here and there, but if the summary is misspelled and missing punctuation or capital letters, I'm not going to read it. I'm also fond of canonical pairings, so I usually avoid random/crack ships.
My View on Twilight: I've read much better, I've read worse, but if Stephanie Meyer likes to write it, good for her. My issue is with the bajillions of teenage fans who scream and yell and are just generally creepy and annoying. Similar to Justin Bieber fans.
Parker from Leverage. "She's twenty pounds of crazy in a five pound bag"
Dory from Finding Nemo. "I have short term memory loss... It's true! It runs in my family!... At least I think it does. Hmm. Where are they?... Can I help you?"
Auggie from Covert Affairs. Hottest, sweetest, most awesome blind ex-Special Forces, current CIA geek ever.
Hatter from Syfy's Alice. Andrew Lee Potts with guyliner and spikey hair. What's not to love?
11th Doctor. "Legs? Yes, good. Bowtie - Cool. Fez... I can buy a fez."
10th Doctor. "These humans, from the day they arrive on the planet, and blinking, step into the - hang on, that's the Lion King. Still a good point though."
Idris/Tardis. "Oh, I love biting. It's like kissing, only there's a winner!"
I have two stories in the Gokusen drama-verse. "Out of the Ordinary" is basically a companion to the first season of the drama and a little beyond, but from Shin's point of view. He's a fairly taciturn character, so it was really interesting trying to look at the world from his point of view, and to get in his head a little. Also, I got to resolve all of the questions I had after the season ended as to how everything worked out.
"The Substitute" is a sequel to "Out of the Ordinary", though it's not necessary to read it to understand what's happening. As I was imagining Shin and Yankumi's lives a few years down the road, I suddenly had a vision of Yankumi trying to sneak into the school, even though she's sick and was commanded to stay home, and Shin intervening.
"The Mad Adventures of a Lost Hatter" is a Syfy Alice fic where Alice is "the One Who Knows" and Hatter, who's been living in New York, falls into Wonderland and people keep asking him if he's "The Hatter? The Harbinger of Legend?"
"Meetings" is a story of Darcy's point of view from a few episodes from the Lizzie Bennet Diaries (a Youtube version of a modern Pride and Prejudice which is insanely amazing and you should go watch it right now. Like right now. Okay, maybe review first, but *then* go watch it.)
I love reviews, and try to visit stories and review fairly often myself. If you have any questions, feel free to message me!
