Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter. Hi, I'm brainthief! My first time writing was NaNoWriMo 2010. I wrote fifty thousand words and ended up without a novel. That lump of words did not make a good story. But I learned a lot, and all that jazz. More importantly, I had fun. So I continued. I often find myself inspired by an engineer's approach to fantasy. Or a student's anyway; I'm not a Master of Science yet. Anyway, I'll see some spell or mystical plot device and go, "Hmm, I wonder how that works?" From that comes worldbuilding, which is where everything starts snowballing as characters become involved and an idea evolves into a plot. A lot of plot bunnies and story snippets found their way onto my hard-drive like that. Someday, I hope to be able to do them justice and actually finish and post them. Currently, I can claim infamy and point to 0800-Rent-A-Hero as its source. That story is my main focus and I spend a lot of time on it. Since I am a slow writer, that translates to an aim of a new chapter every two weeks. Mostly I manage. Recent development: brainthief now has a account! If you like my stuff and want to support me as an author, now you have the option. Any support whatsoever will help in justifying why I'm neglecting other things in favour of writing fanfiction. If it takes off, it may even motivate me to neglect more than I do currently: I will spend more time writing. Since FFNet is jealous of other websites to the point of spurning links I feel the need to add a description: I'm called brainthief at the website. (com/brainthief) As always, thank you for your thoughts. -brainthief P.S. I, brainthief, have challenged myself! I'm proud to be a part of the HPFC forum. |
