Hi! My handle is Alcimines. I'm a resident of the American Midwest and I work in the technology field. Somehow or other, writing fan-fiction became a hobby and I've done it for about fifteen years now. I'm also an avid role-playing gamer (the kind with pencil, paper, and treacherous dice) and war-gamer (the kind with hexagon-based maps, counters, and even more treacherous dice). I mostly write comic-book or comic-book movie fan-fiction -- usually featuring the X-Men. However, I'll write pretty much any genre or setting if a good story comes to mind. In fact, the first story I posted here was based on the movie "Pacific Rim".

I decided to get a fanfiction.net account when I realized that all of the websites on which I used to post fic were pretty much dying out. I plan to post new stories and archive some of my older stories here -- so for the first month or so, I'm going to look much more prolific than is really the case.

I tend to write shorter fiction -- honestly, I don't know how some of you guys find the time to write novel-length fiction. I appreciate the requests I get to add to existing stories, but I don't seem to have the knack for it. However, I want everyone to understand that I really do take those requests to heart -- and sometimes it actually happens.
