Author has written 6 stories for Underland Chronicles.
Welcome, people of fanfiction, to my domain! I am, as you can tell (if you can't, go see a doctor), an author. I love writing (perhaps too much), and have taken up the task of creating content worthy of your eyes. It is important to have some self-confidence, therefore, I will not deny myself the quality of my work. I can proudly announce that I am, as far as my knowledge takes me, the best author out of all the people I have know (In real life). Despite this, I will also admit that I have much room improve, and so, I will strive to become the best I can possibly become. I also strive to improve others writing, giving them support and tips when I see fit. As few know, I am in the middleof expanding my name beyond fanfiction. I have taken up the challenge of publishing a real book. I cannot reveal too much about this book, as it is still in heavy development, but I can, on my honor, promise that I WILL finish this book, and have it published. There is much about me that I cannot, and will not, reveal, but much can be discovered through my writing. I highly encourage you all to take a look at my work, and I hope you all like it. On that note, I bid you all farewell.
A little bit about me:
I first got into writing when I finished reading the overland chronicles. I absolutely loathed the ending, and thus, my first story was born. Even to this day, I know not what pulled me into the series, I just really loved it.
2 – Name the fandoms you've written in, and how much you've written in that fandom, and if you still write in it.
From day two? Whats that, like, after I finished the book? Well, I would have to say my favorite characters to write have been Gregor and Luxa. They both have such unique personalities, it's fun to write about them. I see the mental side of people differently than others do, so many fail to notice why i have the characters go OOC, but i assure you, i always have a good reason, and whether you see it or not, it is not truly OOC.
4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
Not really, I have only ever written in what i wanted, and i have never had any 'muse' character try to pry their way in.
5 –If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
Yes, and no. It changes my view of that character only while i am reading/writing that fanfic. Deep in the depths of my brain, I always remember who and what the original character is.
8 – Do you write OCs? And if so, what do you do to make certain they're not Mary Sues, and if not, explain your thoughts on OCs.
I do use OCs, but I don't jam them down your throat. I feel like I could use them a little more than I do, but I think it's fine as is. To make sure they arnet Mary Sues? Well, I'm going to act like I know what that is, and say that I just make sure they don't make the story unreasonable in any way shape or form.
9 – Pairings – For each of the fandoms from day two, what are your three favorite pairings to write?
Only ever written one pairing, but i know what i would do with others. My favorite to do Is Gregor x Luxa. My second favorite (it would be my favorite, if I actually wrote about it, which I I'll eventually) Is Arya x Eragon, from the inheritance cycle. My third favorite (would be tied for second, if I wrote about it, which I probably won't) Is Helene X will, from the undertakers.
10 – Pairings – Have you ever gone outside your comfort zone and written a pairing you liked, but found you couldn't write, or a pairing you didn't like, and found you could?
No, not really.
11 – Genre – do you prefer certain genres of fic when you're writing? What kind do you tend to write most?
Genre? Well, I prefer to write adventure, and i always throw in romance, whether or not it fits.
12 – Have you ever attempted an "adaptation" fic of a favorite book or movie but set in a different fandom?
I know what you mean, but this question is worded horribly. Your describing an AU, and a crossover. I have never, and never will, do a crossover. I have done one adaptation so far: Regalia high.
13 – Do you prefer canon or fanon when you write? Has writing fanfic for a fandom changed the way you see some or even all of the original source material?
What? It has deepened my understanding of the characters, that's about it.
14 – Ratings – how high are you comfortable with going? Have you ever written higher? If you're comfortable with NC-17, have you ever been shocked by finding that the story you're writing is G-rated instead?
I will go as high as the story allows, though the fact that my mom would kill me if I went to high holds me back.
15 – Warnings – What do you feel it most important to warn for, and what's the strangest thing you've warned for in a fic?
I feel that it is important to warn if there will be inappropriate content in that specific chapter. I have never needed to warn for anything. . . Yet.
16 – Summaries – Do you like them or hate them? How do you come up with them, if you use them?
I will NEVER read a story if it lacks a summary or sorts. I love summaries, they help you understand the story before reading it. I just come up with them. I do not use any special techniques or anything, i just kind of write them. I ALWAYS use a summary.
17 – Titles – Are they the bane of your existence, or the easiest part of the fic? Also, if you do chaptered fic, do you give each chapter a title, or not?
They are one of my favorite parts. People say "Don't judge a book by its cover", but people do, and the title is always in big words right there, so I find it important to have a good title. Also, I like the challenge of trying to summarize the book in but a few words. I always title my chapters, I find it important and helpful.
18 – Where do you get the most inspiration for your fics (aka "bunnies") from?
Not to be cliché or anything, but I actually do get my best ideas in my dreams. . . When I can remember my dreams, that is.
19 – When you have bunnies, do you sit down and start writing right away, or do you write down the idea for further use?
Depends on how big the idea is. If it's smaller, i will keep it in my head and use it for only a single chapter. If its bigger, like the entire concept of my book (which came from a dream), i write it down and further elaborate in my notes until it's a solid story.
20 – Do you ever get bunnied from other people's stories or art in the same fandom?
Yes, and no. I take very small pointless ideas and bits of their style, and use it myself. Like I said, it is very little, not even near enough to be considered copying.
21 – Sequels – Have you ever written a sequel to a fic you wrote, and if so, why, and if not, how do you feel about sequels?
I usually plan sequels for my stories, but they don't always get done. I love the idea of sequels to fics, but they are extremely difficult, straying that far form the original story.
22 – Have you ever participated in a fest or a Big Bang? If so, write about your favorite experience in relation to one. If not, are there any you've thought about doing? And if not, why not?
I have no idea what this is asking here, so I'm gonna stay on the safe side, and not answer it.
23 – When you post, where do you post to? Just your journal? Just an archive? Your own personal site?
I save absolutely everything on a flash drive and my computers hard drive (I always use both, for safe measure). If I do publish them, which I don't always, they only get published to fanfiction.
24 – Betaing – How many betas do you like to use to make sure there aren't any major flaws in your fic? Do you have a Beta horror story or dream story?
I Usualy don't get my stuff betaed, but i should, though i am far to impatient to wait for it to be betaed.
25 – Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?
How is this even a question? I can't write effectively without music. I need music to write, and it takes my 4-6 times longer to write what I could with music, if I don't have music. It is not the noise at all, it only helps if I like the music. That means that it doesn't matter if I have calm music during an action scene, it still helps just as much.
26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?
27 – Where is your favorite place to write, and do you write by hand or on the computer?
I can write by hand (despite my horrific hand writing) if I need to, but I always write on computer. How else would I post it online? Plus its a lot easier on me.
28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?
I talk about my stuff with people I know, but they never influence the work too much, only ever a little. So this could be a yes and a no.
29 – What is your current project or projects?
30 – Do you have a favorite fic you've written? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!
In the swirling darkness. It's my favorite because of the beginning. I love how I wrote the first part of it, and I will not deny the fact that it is amazing. I am very proud of it, but I still have the knowledge that I can do better. It really makes me question my limits.
So, I hope you guys got a little about me from that. I really hope that you guys enjoy my writing. I cannot stress how much it means to me.
I bit you all farewell,
Never stop looking, for it is in the darkest of places, that the brightest of lights can be found.
