After the great and terrible battle, Fili and Sigrid begin a correspondence. They talk of dragons, Kili and Tauriel, Dis, trumpets and the weight of both their peoples. They find they would like to know more.

Dean has always been more intelligent than anyone ever gave him credit for, but every now and again he still needs Sam to spell things out for him - particularly things that have to do with his significance in his little brother's life. Rey and Poe get to know each other much better after being marooned, and slowly fall in love. Damerey, but more romance than smut.

This was all unimaginable a year ago. Tauriel reflects on her time in Erebor and later has a discussion with Fili.

It was well known to the company that Kíli and Fíli were mischievous little terrors as dwarf children. Sitting around various campfires on the way to reclaim Erebor, the pair's youthful adventures and scrapes are exposed to the group, including broken bones, earthquakes, dwarf pox and plenty of h/c. Kíli/Fíli with protective!Thorin and the rest of the dwarves thrown in for fun.

Sam may not be the big brother, but he's been Dean's brother his whole life.
