Hi! Thanks so much for checking out my bio! I am a third year student at KSU studying philosophy and mathmatics. I live in the Kansas City area.

I am a poetry fanatic and am especially fond of Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven". My favorite movies are Gone With the Wind and The African Queen.My favorite television shows are Andromeda, Gilmore Girls, Star Trek: Voyager, MASH, and Commander in Chief and my most recent obsession is Battlestar Galactica. My favorite character on TV is Kathryn Janeway, and my favorite food is dark chocolate. I am also a major fan of the works of C.S. Lewis-especially Till We Have Faces, the last novel he wrote.

"Friendship is unnecessary, like art, like philosphy . . . It has no survival value, rather it is one of those things that give value to survival."

--C.S. Lewis

For those who are interested, the following poem by William Butler Yeats is the source of three Andromeda episode titles:

The Second Coming

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer
Things fall apart; the center cannot hold
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate inensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of
Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewere in the sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches toward Bethlehem to be born?
