Author has written 68 stories for Stargate: SG-1.
I'm Su and I love Stargate SG-1, so all my fan fiction is based on that universe . My stories focus on Jack O'Neill, who is after all the main man even though he is now gone and sadly missed. Such a superb character – certainly the centre of my SG universe. I also write Jack and Sam ship, but it's all Jack, Jack, Jack, even when it's ship. I'm just sayin'...
My fic is normally posted to my own website before it is posted elsewhere. If you are interested please access my Fic with Fins website. There is also some wonderful artwork on the site, illustrating the fic and in the picture galleries. Unfortunately, none of it is by me. I also run a Yahoo group which is intended purely to notify members of new stories and updates to the site – no discussion, so not a ton of mails to add to already weighty inboxes. With some exceptions, generally for very good reasons, group members usually see the fic first,. If you are interested join at : fic_with_Finsfirstname.lastname@example.org
I was thrilled to win some fic awards in the Stargate SG-1 Fan Awards 2004: Best New (Ship) Author; Best Angst (Sam/Jack): Understandings and Misunderstandings; Best Hurt/Comfort (Sam/Jack): Not Letting Him Down. That is such a wonderful thing to happen in your first year of writing fanfic and I floated on air for ages. It was gratifying to win an award for my very first fanfic, Understandings and Misunderstandings, but you can only win an award for Best New Author once, so that was fantastic! Since then I have won some other fan awards and been runner up too, which is great and I am really grateful to fans for that, but I'm betting other awards or accolades can never top the feelings inspired by those very first ones in the early days. Gee, a lot of water had passed under that proverbial bridge since then.
I am from the UK and currently live alone, with the exception of a cat called Jake and three stuffed toys called RDA (after Richard Dean Anderson), Colonel Jack (after Colonel Jack O'Neill – doh!) and General O'Neill (ditto, go figure!). Are you getting the impression this, and the focus of my fic, hints at where my heart lies? You might think RDA (sigh!) is a bit of an obsession with me, and you'd be right! When I met the real thing (Richard Dean Anderson that is, lol. Along with Amanda Tapping, who is terrific) at the Avalon event in November 2006, I fulfilled a long held ambition. He was wonderful, the event was wonderful, life was wonderful - everything was wonderful:-) The whole experience just made me love RDA (sigh!) and Jack even more than ever.
I hope you enjoy my stories. Feedback is always more than welcome.
