Author has written 3 stories for Life is Strange, and Kim Possible. November 2018 update: Not dead! Next best thing though - swamped with the real world thanks to work now being the place where I write novels every week - well, effectively anyway. (That's the downside to being employed as a process specialist for a large telecommunications company!) I fully intend to somehow find the time to keep working on Kim Possible: Shadow Wars, and the third story in the trilogy, Shadow Apocalypse, has a rough outline plotted out on a scrap of paper buried somewhere on my desk.. and while I've been struggling with that, a bizarre crossover idea hit me, with an as-yet untitled Kim Possible/Potterverse crossover burbling out at some point over the past year or so. Not sure if that'll see any light, like the XCOM crossover, but it's something that isn't bashing my head against Shadow Wars. I've written a whole bunch of crap over the years, most of which is never going to see the light of day because it is truly awful, but after getting invested in the game Life is Strange, I ended up writing an alternate ending (because I wasn't a huge fan of the two presented), and that's how The Third Choice became my first ever published fanfic. I've been working on a Kim Possible fic for about 9 months now, titled "Shadow Plays" that's set post Graduation, and takes up the story of Kim and the other characters dealing with growing up and growing apart through circumstances beyond their control, and how that changes them, and after a bit of convincing from a couple of friendly authors, I started posting it (currently through Chapter 6 posted, which takes us to about the 1/3rd mark of what I've got written so far). I also have a half baked KP/XCOM Crossover that was written for a lark, that features Kim, Ron, Shego and a bunch of other characters being recruited into the XCOM project, which was formed out of what used to be GJ, with Betty Director taking the role of 'Commander'... like Shadow Wars, I feel like it's got (heh) possibility, but it still needs more polish, and an actual idea of where I'm going with it, rather than just a retelling of the game's story (though that in itself has been fun so far). With the recent XCOM2 release, I've been almost tempted back to it. As you can probably tell, I'm a big Kim Possible fan, but I read fairly broadly when it comes to fanfic, with favourites including Harry Potter, Avatar (specially Legend of Korra), the Marvel universe (tv/cinematic), and Star Wars. Come to think of it, can you imaging mashing all of those together into one giant crossover? |
