Author has written 13 stories for Harry Potter, and NCIS.
Country: The Netherlands.
16-09-2014: Ok, a lot of people put The Mistake on their alert list (thanks for this), however so far nobody wants to actually adopt it! (Ok 1 person would like to, but can't; dealing with writers block). I've changed the response date to the 1st of OCtober 2014. If I still don't have anyone willing to adopt, then I have no idea what I shall do with it. So please, interested authors, please respond!
I finally decided that enough is enough. I am going to put my story 'The Mistake' up for adoption. Anyone who is interested has until the 20th of september 2014 to send me a PM. I will check any of your stories, and will pick someone who I think will fit best in finishing the story. I have my original outline somewhere, which I will send to the one who is going to finish my story, but you're more than welcome to think of something yourself. I will also post this in the AN at the end of chapter 9 as well as put in a short notice as chapter 10 (which I will take down after a few days). I decided I can't keep this story on hold anymore, as I haven't written for so long. I will keep Drifting to myself though, that story is much longer and I think one day I might be able to do something with it, but I just don't see it happening for The Mistake. As soon as I know who will take over the story I will post it here!
Shame on me. More than a year has passed since I last added something to this page. I should actually remove some of my profile, it's getting quite long. I love how people still read (and review) my stories. In fact, just this week I got a request to translate Behind The Rainbow in Russian. And of course I said yes (who would want to say no?) So thanks to Lainind for wanting to translate the whole thing.
On the other hand: there's still me with a huge writersblock. I haven't revised any of my stories, haven't written anything (no wait! not true, I started a response to the holiday fic fest for potionsandsnitches for this year). Maybe I will actually finish that story and can post it (fingers crossed, because I already wish to change the first page, and that's basically all I wrote so far).
Well, I wish everyone who read this a very happy Saint Nicholas on the 5th of December (all those Dutchies and Belgium people who celebrate this actually), and a Merry Christmas to everyone as well, (plus a happy New Year).
It seems time really does fly! My gosh, I have been reading stories, but haven't written anything since my last update (oh yes, that short story for NCIS). Trouble is that I have lost a great deal of inspiration years ago. From time to time I try to write something down, but I keep thinking it's crap. Possibly I'm setting my standards too high. My focus has also shifted more towards NCIS. It's hard to keep writing Harry Potter, when I read NCIS stories much more often. I keep telling myself I really should update, and write something, but everytime I just look at the screen and get nowhere at all. Ugh, I hate it. And to think, there's still people putting my stories on autho'r's alert and reviewing (thanks by the way).
Oh, and for the people who have read/ are going to read my HP stories: keep in mind that the 5th/6th and 7th book weren't included (heck, some of them weren't even published yet) when I started writing. I got some comments on the fact that Petunia must recognise Snape. Eh, sorry, not in my stories, because nothing was published about them at that point in time!
Of course, that's also something that stops my inspiration. It's hard to write in a universe, where the actual author (J.K. Rowling) has made a completely different choice in storyline.
I keep on trying, although this weekend I will mostly try to avoid a fried brain, as we're expecting hot weather! My small swimming pool is set up in the garden, and I'm going to sit in it, and try to keep it cool!
Hey everybody. Oops, I didn't realize time was going by so fast. I have double checked the chapters of The Mistake, and reposted them now. All except for chapter 10. I have got some inspiration to write again (finally!), but I won't post anything until I wrote a bit more, to make sure I actually go somewhere with the story. It's just very frustrating that I want to write, but there is nothing decent coming out of my mind. I have also had to deal with a change in jobs (twice actually), and settling in with new workplaces, jobs and colleagues. Either way, I hope to be able to actually get somewhere with my stories.
I have started revising Drifting. Have uploaded the first 7 chapters again. Have also checked the rest of the written chapters, and hope to upload them later this month. I am working a full time job (40 hours a week), plus starting a 4-year course to become a Translator. So I'm going to be busy. Perhaps I will manage to finish the stories in between. I am not sure if I will post anything after that. Unless I have finished a story already. We'll see how it goes. Hope you find less grammar and spelling mistakes in the first 7 chapters of Drifting! I am planning on starting revising the Mistake soon as well.
Oh dear, I hadn't realized it was so long ago that I changed anything on this page. Goodness! As you can guess I came back to the Netherlands last year already, but moved to Belfast two months later (August 2007). Two months ago I stopped working there and moved back to the Netherlands again (wow, I keep on moving don't I?) Even though I had more regular use of a computer in New Zealand I didn't get much done. The computer wasn't mine after all, and I worked as an au-pair for a while, so the kids kept me bussy. Then in Belfast I hired a room in a house with two collegeaus. They had a computer, and I could use it from time to time. Not really a place where I wish to keep my stories on. So now I have finally bought a laptop, and I did start writing something, but it's still not for The Mistake and Drifting. It seems I just keep getting stuck with those stories. I figured I would go back to the first chapters and re-do some things, as there are several mistakes in the stories, as well as small hints to events that still had to happen. Trouble is: I can't remember what I had planned with those hints! In fact, I found my original planning for Drifting, and from chapter 6 onwards it doesn't fit anymore. Sure, I don't mind this, but it does mean I have to rethink my storylines, and map out the rest of the stories. On the bright side though: I follow a course in writing fiction (passed it too), so maybe it will help me along a bit. The only annoyance I have right now is that I am more interested in reading new stories, than writing my own.
Well, I'm very sorry to have to say this, but all my stories are being put ON HOLD! I had planned on finishing Drifting before I would leave, but that didn't work out at all. I really hate it, but there's not much you can do when there's no good word coming out, right?
hope to have informed you enough! Cheers!
