Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. In honor of the code that strictly states that blank profiles are decidedly evil, here is mine. Everything that you, reader of my profile, need to know about me really quickly and really painlessly: I am a writer. What else is there to say really? I write lots of things, some good, some great, some spectacular, and some so hideously awful that I shudder as I re-read... but I still don't throw them away, never throw away something you wrote, because it's a part of you. It is something that crossed your mind, words that came out in a certain order. It's an extension of you. Don't fear it. Embrace it. Sigh, damned chronic rambling! Ok, if you are reading this thenyou are interested in reading my Harry Potter fan fiction. Well, good. I'm glad. So let me tell you what I've got to offer. Well first is my story Getting Out or Dying Trying and to make a long story short, Getting Out is a short story gone long. It's cute, clever and written by me before I cared about grammar, spelling and all the nit picky stuff. I had an idea and I ran with it. My second story Inquiring Minds is one that I am growing quite proud of. In it I am slowly crafting the story of a relationship... backwards. It's such fun. Two characters who I am making realize that they are perfect for each other, with minimal sappiness (Blaise wouldn’t stand for anything else). If you don't mind a more sarcastic, more bitter, wittier, and slightly more independent Harry, you'll like it. If you like a good Slytherin (non-slash) romance, you'll love it. Or at least that's what I've been told. The popularity of this story caught me off guard, but the more the merrier I always say (actually that was the first time I ever said that). Andrest assured that each chapter has been beta-readand edited for your reading pleasure. Much love to the beta (thesteffis). So that covers just about everything worth saying. For the inquiring minds who will insist on finding out: I am female. I am a teenager. I am American. I am not magical. I am a Slytherin (sort of contradicts the whole non-magical thing doesn’t it?). Til Next Time, C. Night Updates on Progress: Jan 3, 06-Ok,to allof you you incredibly loyal, fantastically wonderful people who leave me encouraging reviews and send me lovely little messages I have to saythank you. You have all beenawesome. So on to the big question: Will I finish Inquiring Minds? Honestly I still don't know, but I am leaning towards no. I say thatI still don't know because the ideas for the story are still in my head and sometimes new ones pop up and demand that I at least write them down (I have a notebook for them). I also don't know because I realize that I still have tons of wonderful people out there who would be thrilled if I did continue. But the reason whyI am leaning towards not finishingis because right now I am writing some fiction of my own and it is taking up all the time that I used to spend working on Inq Minds. I seem to be drifting away from the world of fanfiction and I think that as a writer it is good that I am learning to develop my own characters. Part of me wants to keep going forward and not look back. I promise though that I will consider finishing the story as it really isn't fair for me to know the ending and how it all works out forHarry and Blaise and for the rest of you to be left wondering. Happy New Year and thank you once again for all of your support. |
