Focus: "For Love's Sake"
Story Status: Hi everyone! Kari here with another "Story Status" a mere twenty-four hours after posting chapter 34 of "For Love's Sake." I apologize again for the extra month long hiatus my story went on, although I forewarned of its lateness in my previous chapter. I'm pretty excited because now the story should be picking up quite a bit and that will get me back onto a regular schedule of updating once a month. As always, I'll be trying to update on the 14th of the month, but it may be a couple days before or after that date. Either way, once a month remains to be my goal, as life happenings tends to take up most of my free time. I'm incredibly grateful for the reviews, favorites, and views my story has been receiving. I can't describe how uplifting it is to work on something for so long and have it so well received. I'm also grateful for the help I receive from my wonderful beta reader, Caroline, who always knows exactly what I need to hear and what needs to change. She's really been helpful in sculpting my story into a masterpiece as well as teaching me valuable writing skills along the way. Overall, I'm happy how far this story has come, excited by how far it has yet to go, and look forward to having a summer full of writing and updates. Thank you for your continued support and have a nice day!

Quotes: "Happiness is an allegory, unhappiness a story."-Leo Tolstoy
"I write for the same reason I breathe--because if I didn't, I would die."-Isaac Asmiov
"When the writing is really working, I think there is something like dreaming going on. I don't know how to draw the line between conscious management of what you're doing and this state... I would say that's related to daydreaming. When I feel really engaged with a passage, I become so lost in it that I'm unaware of my real surroundings, totally invovled in the pictures and sounds that the passage evokes."-John Hersey
"Writing, I think, is not apart from living. Writing is kind of double living. The writer experiences everything twice. Once in reality and once in that mirror which waits always before or behind."-Catherine Drinker Bowen
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."-Ernest Hemingway
"Being an author is like being in charge of your own personal insane asylum."-Graycie Harmon
"Writers are not just people who sit down and write. They hazard themselves. Every time you compose a book your composition of yourself is at stake."-E.L. Doctorow
"I am a writer and always was; being a writer is an integral part of my identity. Being published, being well regarded, is a component of that identity."-Brian Aldiss
"We write to taste life twice--once in the moment, and once in retrospection."-Anais Nin
"Honestly, has anyone else practically stalked you like this?"-AmePiper
Disclaimer: I never put one at the end of any of my stories. I'd like to have a better excuse for this but it's really only because I'm both lazy and forgetful. However, I would like to use this disclaimer for all my stories and all my future stories by saying that I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! or any of its characters. Those belong to Kazuki Takahashi, the man whom created a series that made my childhood whole. The plot lines for these fan-based stories are, however, of my own creation and therefore, are mine.
