Story Status: Happy Valentine's Day, everybody! Here we are again on that holiday that everyone either loves or hates... but I'm not here to talk about that. I'm here to talk about the fact that Chapter 31 of "For Love's Sake" is online and that today is also the three year anniversary of this story being posted! Although this story was well in the works several years before it ever made it online, the journey of writing it and posting it these three years has been an experience all on its own. Around this time last year, I had hoped to have finished this story already but life and college got in the way of that. This is the first and only story that has ever taken me three years to write/finish but I can't help but think about all the growing I have done alongside writing this story. I was working on this story during some of my highest and lowest points in my life. Acknowledging how much has happened since this story first began has also made me realize how grateful I am for all of those who were there to help me through it, both in life and in creating this story. I want to thank Rena for being one of the people who first inspired me to write this story, Kura for being my beta reader and idea helper through a good portion of the story, and Caroline for becoming my unofficial beta reader for the last couple of chapters and giving great edits! Last but not least, I want to thank all of you, the readers and reviewers, past and present, for supporting my work and continuing to keep coming back, even when my updates became few and far between. This story has been with me through a lot of hard times and in a way, each and every one of you was there with me too. Every review I have ever gotten has brought a smile to my face and has brightened my day. So thank you, all of you, for your dedication to "For Love's Sake" and I hope to see you all next month!

Quotes: "Happiness is an allegory, unhappiness a story."-Leo Tolstoy
"I write for the same reason I breathe--because if I didn't, I would die."-Isaac Asmiov
"When the writing is really working, I think there is something like dreaming going on. I don't know how to draw the line between conscious management of what you're doing and this state... I would say that's related to daydreaming. When I feel really engaged with a passage, I become so lost in it that I'm unaware of my real surroundings, totally invovled in the pictures and sounds that the passage evokes."-John Hersey
"Writing, I think, is not apart from living. Writing is kind of double living. The writer experiences everything twice. Once in reality and once in that mirror which waits always before or behind."-Catherine Drinker Bowen
"There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."-Ernest Hemingway
"Being an author is like being in charge of your own personal insane asylum."-Graycie Harmon
"Writers are not just people who sit down and write. They hazard themselves. Every time you compose a book your composition of yourself is at stake."-E.L. Doctorow
"I am a writer and always was; being a writer is an integral part of my identity. Being published, being well regarded, is a component of that identity."-Brian Aldiss
"We write to taste life twice--once in the moment, and once in retrospection."-Anais Nin
"Honestly, has anyone else practically stalked you like this?"-AmePiper
Disclaimer: I never put one at the end of any of my stories. I'd like to have a better excuse for this but it's really only because I'm both lazy and forgetful. However, I would like to use this disclaimer for all my stories and all my future stories by saying that I do not own Yu-Gi-Oh! or any of its characters. Those belong to Kazuki Takahashi, the man whom created a series that made my childhood whole. The plot lines for these fan-based stories are, however, of my own creation and therefore, are mine.
