Site rules state you're supposed to remove (or move) a/ns, chapter markers, or other comments used as a chapter before the next chapter is released. Why do so many people not follow the site rules?

Has anyone ever noticed that it seems like the shorter people make their chapters, the more spelling and grammar errors they have in them??? Seriously people, spelling and grammar-checking programs are free with most CPUs nowadays, and even when they're not with the CPUs they can be downloaded for free too so NO ONE has any excuse for writing stories with crappy grammar/spelling.

(Mostly) Naruto-related rants and comments

I love fics where Minato and/or Kushina cheat death somehow. NOT the ones where they survive the Kyūbi attack and Naruto ends up neglected (seriously almost every story I've ever read where Minato and Kushina simply survive the Kyūbi attack has Naruto neglected, especially if he has (a) sibling/s as well, and while I have some, they get repetitive after a while,) and the ones where they survive and Naruto isn't neglected are usually very fluffy, which isn't a bad thing...just gets boring after a while. [Time travel can also change things.] I mean ones like Minato's: The Art of Being Dead by PyrothTenka, or Guardian Angel by Night Shade 1427, etc.

WHY do so many people give Naruto a sibling or more whenever even one of his parents survive??? Is it a monkey see monkey do thing? Oh, that person gave Naruto a sibling when his parents survived (and their story was/is good) so now we're all going to do it!? He's just fine without a twin or whatever you decide to do unless you give him a younger sibling later on down the road. I don't know how many potentially awesome stories have been ruined because the author decides that young Naruto NEEDS a sibling or more to go with his parents surviving, it's so damn ANNOYING!

I know why a lot of people kill off Iruka in their stories, I really do, but I can't help but want to call out "WHY" and burst out into tears whenever this happens as he's one of my absolute fav characters in the series *sob-sob* poor Iruka. The ones where they completely break his character and make him rotten (hates Naruto like an idiot, he might have been hesitant about him at first, but there was never hatred) or downright evil I can't even stand reading most of the time.

I actually really hate Hinata, she's even more of a fangirl for Naruto than Ino and Sakura are for Sasuke, just a different kind of one. She claims she's loved Naruto for a long time yet was never able to overcome self-made obstacles and problems to be there for him, if only as a friend. She's also pathetically weak-willed. I honestly believe all the naru/hinas where she's not redeemed early on are simply cop-outs, cause SHE DOESN'T DESERVE HIM AT ALL unless she becomes MORE than what she's like in the canon's Pain arc (personality-wise, not power, I'm not THAT demanding, though it's entirely possible) FAR earlier on!!! Yet fanfiction authors usually make her even MORE pathetic than she is in canon in Naru/Hina's, WTF!?!?!?! REGARDLESS of Canon putting Naruto and Hinata together, I still strongly hold onto this belief.

I HATE stories with rape scenes (any kind of story.) Implied rape it depends on the reason.

I also HATE M/F and/or m-preg incest, including those sneaky ones where they make the character go back in time and end up with their parent/grandparent that way or something like that.

I am seriously tempted to find some way of castrating the sexist assholes who have written goddamn harems where they make women nothing more than sex-crazed whores willing to spread their legs to a person they barely know just because of some kind words or compliments, or just because they look good. Yes, there are some women like that, just like there are some men, but NOT ALL, not even a large number of them damn it. You assholes who demean a woman's personality, abilities, and even base desires and needs seriously don't deserve to add to the gene pool!!!! I mean I've read some stories where even before they've hit puberty when the sex drive for BOTH MEN AND WOMEN starts have them going at it like rabbits or are running around with perverted thoughts and actions and that's complete and total BULL you sexist, snobbish, perverted, can't even be called chauvinists because you've gone FAR beyond that MORONIC ASSHOLES!

Reverse harems are almost as bad. Not all men are sex-crazed addicts willing to do it with any man/woman out there just because they can.

I honestly just think harem fics of ANY kind where there's a shit ton of men/women involved are ridiculously stupid cause they make the people involved in it for basically nothing but the sex. You can't have a relationship with 10 or more other people and actually be able to dedicate the time, energy, and funds necessary to see to all of their physical and emotional needs in a real relationship. Most people have trouble managing a genuinely healthy physical, mental, financial, and emotional romantic relationship with one person and yet authors out there are saying they're writing a fic with genuine feelings and care involving 12 people? Uh-huh, sure, right, and I'm the queen of the galaxy.

I strongly dislike stories where the characters end up in a relationship with someone more than ten years older than them, and more than five years younger than them if they're both young. I wouldn't say it's as bad as the rest, and I can make exceptions if the reason and story is good, so that's why I only said strongly dislike.

Some things I think people really need to be reminded of about the Naruto world.*may contain spoilers if you haven't finished the series.*

Kakashi's teammates in Team Minato are Uchiha Obito and NOHARA Rin, she IS NOT AN INUZUKA!!

Naruto gets the mark of a SUN on his right palm as Ashura's reincarnation. Sasuke gets the mark of a MOON on his left palm as Indra's reincarnation. I can't believe how many idiots there are that keep switching the two for no reason other than their own uncaring faults. (Note that I don't mind if people do it for genuine plot reasons, it's when it's done just because the author can't be bothered to write the correct info that I have a problem with it.)

The seven-tailed Biju is the Nanabi: Chomei, NOT the Shichibi. I know both mean seven but it's an insult to it to call it something it's NOT. That's like calling a horse a mule, extremely closely related, but still a complete and total insult to both.

Team 9 in Konoha is Gai's team, that's why Iruka skipped the number the day of the team assignments. So unless you change it up by making them graduate at the same time or making someone graduate early with them to change up team numbers, that's what they are.

There is NO civilian or shinobi council. Although the Hokage always has the final say in the matter, the councilors Homura Mitokado and Koharu Utatane are there to give their opinions and advice, thus making sure the decisions made are fair and take into account all possibilities and viewpoints, even they don't have any REAL power beyond what's given to them. That’s IT. Danzo actually isn't even a civilian consultant or a consultant at all according to canon. He's actually supposed to have been forcibly retired after his ROOT organization was supposedly decommissioned and shouldn't have ANY power or say in the running of the village at all. ANYTHING Danzo does "for the village" using ROOT or otherwise after he's forcibly retired (from what I remember it was after his attempt on Hiruzen's life a few years after the Kyubi attack that killed Minato) is actually (technically) illegal.

And honestly enough I believe the "evil" overpowered civilian council is overdone to the point people are actually starting to believe the damn thing canonically exists. There's also the fact that everyone uses them as an excuse for Hiruzen's and others' (Kakashi, Jiraiya) neglect and lack of care for Naruto's neglected education, childhood, and mentality. Which is pretty lame and weak if you ask me, make them OWN UP to their mistakes, not pin them all on someone else so they end up the "squeaky clean" good guys. [I admit to using the shinobi council to my own merit in my story, and a mention of a civilian one, but they will pretty much only be mentioned in passing to the point most people forget it exists.]

There is NO CRA or ANYTHING similar to it, it was entirely made up by someone in order to make harems legal. Though if you really think about it, shinobi have different morals than normal people anyway so something like gay, lesbian, bi-sexuality, or multi-people relationships probably wouldn't cause any but the most prudish of them to even bat an eyelash as long as all parties agree to it and there's no rape or cheating involved. (I.e. Everything is consensual and everyone knows everyone else involved in the relationship. Given some ninjas' personalities I can't even put in safe or sane as a requirement.)

Naruto was NEVER physically abused as a child. He was ignored, scorned, hated, and neglected, and it's shown in a memory that he was kicked out of most places, and its IMPLIED he had his entire education deliberately sabotaged in the orphanage until it kicked him out, and the academy, but that’s IT. Using the villagers abusing him as an excuse to activate a bloodline or meet Kyūbi because of a beating is unnecessary.

Even before the Mizuki incident, there are perfectly logical and reasonable events you can manipulate to make this happen. The time Naruto is practically forced (tricked) by other kids at the academy to go into the forest and find a dead body and he gets attacked by enemy Taki-nin where Iruka and Kakashi save him is one. There's also the time Naruto saved Hinata from bullies and gets somewhat badly beat up (by the bullies, not a mob or anything like that) cause of it. The time with Yota is a good one if you want to use a filler. You could even make him his typical ignoramus self and have him take a dare to go somewhere dangerous or do something to hurt himself seriously enough or something accidentally.

There's no need to take idiotic, bigot villagers and turn them into completely insane and bloodthirsty morons. That doesn't even take into account that they're scared to whisper about what he is in case they're punished, do you really think people that are scared for getting punished for that would actually attack him? Not to mention the fact that the idiot in canon was able to run and hide from Chunin, Jonin, and even the occasional Anbu from a rather young age after pranks, so how are idiotic, bumbling, untrained civilians supposed to get their hands on him? Hell, most people make the hospital only treat him if the Hokage or someone strong forces it, and yet in canon after the Chunin exams with no Hokage and no one paying much attention to him there he is in the hospital being treated like any other patient.

And if you want them to attack him in order to get him out of the village, permanently or temporarily, then a small group of drunks and/or one or two resentful & idiotic shinobi *cough*Mizuki*cough* should be enough for that or other events. Like him ending up at the Forest of Death because you want him to find something there, which seems to be a commonly used idea (that I wholeheartedly approve of, with how much of a messy labyrinth that place is I can easily believe only someone with Naruto's mixed bag of luck finding something there.)

There is also NO Kyūbi festival, at all, of any kind, or anything similar to it on Naruto's birthday (Oct. 10)/the day of the Kyūbi attack. It's more like, other than their treatment of Naruto, and lessons on it at the academy, everyone tries to not think about/completely forget that day.

The Eight Trigrams Sealing Style (Hakke no Fūin Shiki), consisting of two Four Symbols Seals, was used by Minato Namikaze to help Naruto Uzumaki access the chakra of Kurama, the tailed beast sealed within him. It isn't the Shinigami's seal, he was called to help Minato split the Kyūbi in half and seal one half in himself. The part of Naruto's seal that is influenced by the Shinigami is the Dead Demon Consuming Seal (Shiki Fūjin) and is the part that actually contains the Kyūbi.

The tailed beasts are NOT demons, they are simply seen as them by humans. They are giant constructs of "pure" solidified chakra that have sentience, and physical form, and have been corrupted and tainted through years of hatred being thrown at them. If anything considering what the Shinju (Jubi) and Kaguya are they're actually fragments of (a) god/s.

There's more I'd love to add, but those are the main things I really want people to realize is TOTALLY fanfiction made and therefore not canon and therefore you DON'T need to follow in other's footsteps and use or write this stuff over, and over, and over again (not that you need to use all the canon stuff either, especially with all the B.S. Kishimoto was throwing out from shortly before the beginning of the Fourth War and then all the way through it.) I'm not saying you can't use them, they do work, and I'm not going to deny that, (which is also why they're used over, and over, and over again) I'm just saying think about whether you really want or need these things before you add them in.

Oh, and for all those people who have children raped in their stories, both male and female reproductive organs DON'T work until they reach puberty. Which is typically, at the earliest, age 11 unless the child is exposed to too many hormones in their food or something from a young age (people really need to look out for that in food, it's REALLY bad for us to eat). Meaning women don't release eggs and men don't produce sperm until they hit puberty. So all those stories where they're raped before they hit puberty and everyone is saying they're lucky they didn't get someone pregnant or get pregnant, or they're unlucky cause they did are entirely inaccurate. Like writing about the rape of a child isn't horrible enough. Unless you're implying that the underage rape is repeated enough for puberty/hormones to start early from the trauma of it, which is even worse.

OBITUARY FOR THE LATE MR. COMMON SENSE

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6 year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get Parental consent to administer Calpol, sun lotion, or a band-aid to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason.

He is outlived by his 3 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.
