UPDATE: December 9, 2011

Hello strangers! Well, two years have past not since I updated my story, but since I last posted an update to my status here. Sadly, it has not changed. On the bright side of things, I still will not admit defeat. I am not abandoning this story...but it will not be finished anytime soon.

Years have past since not only have I worked on PoT, but since I've even had any interest in it. I don't even read fanfic anymore. My job in the Navy takes away a lot of the free time I once had. And let's face it, since JKR finished the series, we've all lost interest. It's been almost 8 years since I wrote that first PoT chapter, and a lot has happened. I'm not the same person. My interests, my writing style, my job...all have changed.

That being said, I am not a quitter. And while this story is on definite hiatus for the foreseeable future, one day I will return to finish it, no matter how bad the final chapters may be. The sequels I had planned out (still have my original outlines actually) will probably never be written, but one day I hope to post at least the basis for the stories I had, so true fans can see where I was going to take my series.

I will however soon complete my other story, "Best of a Bad Situation", which is posted on adultfanfic(dot)net. Too graphic for this site, and I wrote it almost as a joke, but since it's only a chapter or two away from being complete, I'm going to tackle that project first. It's a much easier undertaking that finishing PoT, but who knows? Maybe it will get my creative juices flowing again.

So once again I'm afraid I disappoint. In March I once again switch jobs and make a cross-country move, so depending on my new position, maybe I'll have more free time to write. Thank you to all the true fans of PoT that have been supportive over the years. I refuse to give up entirely partly because of you.
