Author has written 3 stories for Final Fantasy X-overs, Final Fantasy VII, and Grand Theft Auto.
Wow, it feels like years since I've been at this point. Time for an update.
Nice of you to drop by, by the way. The PenName is spikestrife, the real name is Stephanie. To sum myself up... basically... I'm a forgetful and occasionally over-emotional 22 year old University student, hoping to achieve the goals I've set for myself in the future. Unfortunately, this focus on University and sorting out my social life has left me little time or motivation for writing. However, I feel like that needs to end soon. Time to get back to the stories that gained me the wonderful fans from the old days.
Motivation is my first priority I feel. Reading over the old and starting the new. Hopefully, given time, this will produce something for you all to enjoy. Wish me luck.
Ever since I can remember, I always wrote my stories to a background of some sort. Usually something that sets the scene or reminds me of a certain event. Here's just a list of some of the music that inspires me.
Final Fantasy - Any of the soundtracks to be honest. I can find anything that will help me set a particular mood or create a specific amount of intensity when I write. Being a huge fan on the games helps, which is obvious from the fact that it's where most of my stories are based from.
Favourites - Lifestream (FFVII), Journey's End (FFX OCRemix), Force Your Way (FFVIII), Eternity Memories of Lightwaves (FFX-2), Battle 2 (FFIX)
Bleach - I cannot begin to describe how much I enjoy this anime, how much the fights inspire me. The music is almost always perfect for the drama of the show, when things are hopeless for the heroes, you know from the music. When someone is about to kick ass, you know from the music. I highly recommend this soundtrack to anyone who hasn't heard it.
Favourites - Soundscape to Ardor (OST3), B13a (Fade To Black), Invasion (Diamond Dust Rebellion), Raw Breath of Danger (OST1), Nothing Can Be Explained (OST1)
Dragonball Z - Over the top fights, super evil enemies, and totally kick-ass heroes. Is there anything better? Ayep, great music to go along to it. Some of the tracks from this anime have completely captured my heart, mainly in how they remind me of some of my favourite moments for the show. Truly a good choice of inspiration for anyone who wants to find a good song to write a fight to.
Favourites - Gohan Approaches, Gohan Angers 1 & 2, Cell Returns, A Little Help From A Friend, Buu is Fighting
Mark Mancina - If you want a composer from thrilling music for suspense or action, Mark Mancina is your man. The composer to the soundtracks of my three all time favourite films Speed, Con Air and Bad Boys, this man influences my "escape" and "chase" scenes to an incredible degree.
Favourites - The Rescue (Speed), Con Air Theme (Con Air Theme), Footchase (Bad Boys), Rush Hour (Speed), Hangar Shootout (Bad Boys)
There are others, Sonic, Zelda, other movie soundtrack and even just listening to my favourites bands, but these are the mains.
