Author has written 8 stories for Harry Potter, and Doctor Who.

About Me: I'm a British-Cypriot-Mexican translator/writer born in Germany, living in Mexico, looking to spread the wings to Canada. I follow Forn Sidhr as a way of life, and share my home with three Belgian Sheepdogs. One is black and bearlike, the other is black and huge and bearlike, and the third is salt-and-pepper and wolflike. The black ones love their plush hippogriffs (as they should), the other favours a dragon and two (plush) skulls. And a monkey. Don't judge. No, they're not called Sirius, Padfoot and Moony.

Not sure why.

They definitely act like them.

Anyway.

I started writing HP fanfiction back in '04, and through many twists and turns of life, Time of the Turning was born. I moved countries, travelled a LOT for years, made friends, lost some others, made some more, learned to snowboard, moved again, got a prosthetic shoulder, studied filmmaking, co-authored and got scammed on a bestseller, wrote some original fiction for a few years, realised three of my novels actually went together, got a dog, did many ceremonies, got a dog, she had pups, I kept two, and so on and so forth, not in that order, and yet the Time universe always pulls me back into it.

Even though it's not all posted, the story will be told, hopefully this year. I stopped posting because IsortofgothookedbyHPrpg#guiltypleasures, and the RPG was in the Time AU. So, yeah. I played it out, sort of. And Time of the Turning gained a part 2. There's no sort of there. Turning of the Time is 90% written, and for all those years I was gone from this site, I was happily writing away on it. Until it ended, and I missed it for a long time, and then shook it off like the song says and started preparing it to be posted on here.

Not things that came from RP were bad, I did learn a lot about moving a plot along and things, but mostly, I got to round off my version of the characters. Runaway was born of one such experiment, as was Fixed Points in Time, and I realised, just like I did with my original fiction novel series, they were all a part of a bigger whole. And my fan fiction is, all of it, smack-dab in the Time Verse.

I'm a Sirius fan, as you might have noticed. My favourite ever piece is Bleed Black Part II, even after so long nothing I've ever written even comes close. I paired Sirius off with the OC Nina McAlpin rather than using a name from canon, because I wanted him to have someone that wasn't a Mary Sue. She is as important as their twin kids from Time (haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, which is actually good, they're meant to get under our skins) and has a very crucial role in the Time verse itself. So, she'll pop up in Fixed Points, and Runaway where she made her debut, and she'll appear in Turning of the Time.

My equally fave character is James, followed by Lily and Remus and Peter. I am not a Dumbledore fan, I do like Voldemort, and my Snape isn't the canon one, because you can't write 6 books in a series depicting the making of a sociopath who actively seeks to murder your heroes and then suddenly turn around and make the heroes be some stupid arrested development cabbageheads, and the sociopath the loving hero. That's just wrong. My Snape is a bastard, and he doesn't change. My Marauders are actually best friends and have virtues. My characters make mistakes, and they are really stupid sometimes, and I like them that way.

Oh yeah, I also also don't write slash, not because I can't or it's not fun, but rather because I am pretty sure that all that gender-identity/experimentation hype is more of a Millenials thing. Back in the day, it wasn't even really an issue and kids were kids loads longer. And I'm also quite certain Sirius, James and Remus weren't gay as gooses. Their love is brotherly, and in the age of the power of the flower, people took teh saix in a much more laid-back, less frenzied way than we see nowadays. As for alternative gender identities, I'm not so sure about Mundungus, Pete or Rabastan Lestrange. Might want to look into it.

I also don't much like Harry. I loved the kid until like, book 5. Then I sort of lost interest in him. So my Harry is an evolution of how Book5!Harry should be in my head. That little tyke, I can deal with. Rowling's, I cannot.

Lastly, if you haven't noticed already, I'm long-winded. I write long chapters, because I love to write; I've never stopped, and my goal this year is to finish or at least make good progress on the stories that were on hiatus for years and years and years. I'll let you know how that goes.

~ DND

On Reviews.

I like them, as a rule, as long as they're not outright flames. If I read something, I'll review, if only to add an emoji, and I've realised that even a "liked" or "disliked" would make my day. Because, for us writing here for an unseen readership, knowing if what we wrote deserves a "like" or "dislike" helps us loads in figuring out where the story should go, if we succeeded or failed in telling what we meant to tell the way we meant to tell it, and the response it's getting.

Especially for those writers dreaming of being published authors one day and having us others write fanfiction about their books, reviews are crucial.

If the review has more information in it, even if it's not about style or punctuation and goes something like, "SQUEEEE YOU UPDATED" it helps because we know more about how we are telling the story. Because nobody squees over a badly-told tale. There are many stories that could have been told better (I'm living that process now, every time I reread a chapter of Time and want to alternately hide inside a paper bag and scrap the thing and start over), and reviews help us as writers to know if we got the message we wanted across the way we intended, or not.

To me, playing in another writer's universe is a great exercise, and in my line of work, it's been downright helpful. Other writers on this site may feel the same way.

So, review you guys and gals of the internets. You can do it in any language you like, I gots the Google Translate. Or just, y'know, tell me at least if you're liking or not. I won't hold it against ya.

~DND

Latest News:

I moved to a new house, which isn't quite as in the sticks as my old one, but somehow manages to make me wait for the most basic things, such as water heating and Omg!internet. Since I'm busy with work and trying to get an internet provider for this here place (my old one doesn't work this area though I'm literally 5 minutes away on blippin' foot) so that will take a while. Therefore! All is on hiatus until we are back to normal and the boxes are out of the way.

Story Updates

Runaway: Part 20 is up as of 4/21/17, Part 21 is about half done, as are bits of about five more chapters. I just can't seem to go in order here, sorry.

Fixed Points in Time: Part 11 is up as of 3/14/17! Yayz.

The Time of the Turning: I'm rereading and putting up a revised version, so far, I've made some minor changes, chapter 22 is in the works (as it was nearly done when I dropped the ball), I'll let you know when it comes out.

The Turning of the Time: I'm on chapter seven.
