Author has written 24 stories for Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Sound of Music, Misc. Plays/Musicals, Gossip Girl, Batman Begins/Dark Knight, Batman the Animated Series, and Sherlock.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." Acts 16:31
New fandoms: BBC's Sherlock, and House. Here's to two of the greatest bromances ever to hit the small screen: Sherlock and John and House and Wilson. Am staunchly opposed to slash and as such am resisting the urge to acknowledge the slashy undertones in both series (clears throat). No, I do believe they're all four quite straight (except Sherlock possibly...asexual if anything but almost certainly not gay)...but I can't help it if they're all so pretty and have excellent bro-chemistry. Really. (bangs head against wall)
I'm a Libertarian. You're welcome.
I've submitted around 100 reviews to this site since 2004. If I reviewed yours it either means I hated it or loved it. And going through my review history for the first time August, 2011, the former is more likely. Sorry, but I only send 'em to the most deserving in either direction. Or if someone specifically writes to me asking to review because that is just gracious. Also good PR. I don't really send PMs but I try to respond to them even if it takes awhile. I figure if someone takes the time to write to me I should have the grace to write back.
I'm TWENTY. Nearly twenty-one.
I used to be paranoid and I still am.
Contradicting my last statement I don't mind telling about myself on here except for identifying info because really, most of the stuff about me is not unique enough to be linked back to a single person. If I'm a 20 year old girl in Florida, well, aren't there about twenty thousand of us?
I find reviews gratifying but not nearly as much so as if I could actually see or hear the reviewer. I've always rather wished there was a FFN conference so I could meet my favorite writers and see if a person or two might be interested in meeting me. As weird as that would be (can you imagine a single convention filled with every single type of nerdgasmic entertainment ever to exist ever? The venue would explode.).
Silmarillion parodies hit my funny bone inexplicably hard.
I like mangling philosophical quotes from Batman, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings into one powerhouse of profundity.
I don't write gratuitously anymore. No more angst-ridden Aragorn-Legolas-get-in-way-over-their-heads stuff. Angst is cool but not just for its own sake. Interestingly, I feel my writing's gone WAY up in quality, and review numbers have gone way down. LOL :) It doesn't matter. Now I'm writing for its own sake, a statement I finally understand, since before I have to admit I wrote largely what I thought people wanted to read just to get reviews. Obviously I still LOVE reviews, but I write things I observe or feel need explanation or extended versions.
I'm writing a thing on the badassery of elves right now, because I hate the way they're portrayed often as nancing little fairies. They're tough as nails warriors, people - who also happen to appreciate a good book or song. These characteristics can coexist quite well, actually. But come on - the elves are total badasses and I'm tired of them being written as anything less. A distinct plot has yet to emerge to connect my drabbles so it may be awhile before it gets posted but I'm having fun giving the elves a backbone.
There hasn't been much good LotR ficcage happening lately, and after a long hiatus I was discouraged to return only to find Mary-Sues still on the loose. I expect that the impending release of the Hobbit at the end of next year will usher in a resurgence of quality fics, although with the good writers returning and new ones rising I expect there will also be dozens of ShItaril/Sues as well. Sigh. I suppose you have to take the good with the bad, eh?
I also deleted some of my old stuff because every time I looked at it, I just cringed. Either that or it was the beginning of an epic that I can pretty much guarantee would not have seen more than one or two more chapters, max. So if the story's still there it means there's still hope for an update!
PM me with questions or complaints or requests for potato soup, because I make a mean chowder. Tootles!
I've been getting loads of reviews and PMs about The Blind Betrayal...and yeah, yeah, I'll get around to updating...I will...
Hate bandwagons are even worse than love bandwagons. That is to say that I despise Twilight but those who jumped on the "I Heart Twilight" bandwagon are generally much more tolerable than the "I'm Trying to Be Cool and Hip and Snarky and GO AGAINST THE GRAIN So I'm joining an I Hate Edward group on Facebook. Aren't I edgy!" people. Ok. Rant over.
Seriously though, get your own thoughts and let's keep FFN from becoming Facebook. This site deserves a better class of horrible writers.
