This is the story of Subaru's harshest reset thus far. Once Reinhard triumphed over the Archbishop of Greed, Subaru checked around the city of Priestella to make sure everyone else was alright. After he got separated from Emilia, tragedy struck Subaru in the form of a small child wearing rags who spoke in the same voice as 'her'.

Subaru couldn't explain why, but he was always drawn to Beatrice, despite her haughty attitude. If he wanted companionship, he could easily find it elsewhere; however, he always sought warmth with the drill-loli. Although she is secretly growing fond of the boy, Beatrice pretends not to notice those budding feelings. "Is he the one I've been waiting for all these years, I wonder?"

Maybe she wasn't the healthiest girl, but that never stopped Marika from following her dreams. Even demons can catch a cold and now Zatch lays on his sheets with a high fever. After losing a majority of his strength, Zatch is almost helpless as Kiyo leaves for school but a visitor comes over to nurse Zatch back to health.

Starting on the 21st of December and ending on Christmas, Zatch and Kiyo are preparing for the holidays at their house and find out that some of their closest allies will be spending time with them. Love is in the air when restraints on the heart are loosened and feelings are slowly released, but will those feelings be returned by that one special someone?
