my first completed syot, my first real writing stint in years, and really my first baby. odwh remains near and dear to my heart even though i'm a little insecure about some of the early segments. the subplot is barely-there until the very end. if you're at all interested in doomed by the narrative, the struggle of perfectionism in art, destiny, lobotomies, found family, and clones, then this is the syot for you! completed.

not a syot, but part of the syot verses victor exchange event for 2023! kalanit was created by goldie, but all the fillers were my creation, built to enhance her story and give her a way to, well, grow. how lovely is the silence of growing things, after all? it's rather digestible compared to the rest of my shit at only 27k, and was conceptualized and written in the span of a little over a month. it's sort of my little baby. she will be showing up in the greater odwh verse, but reading this fic isn't entirely necessary to keep up with the subplot. but if you like single pov fics, fire as rebirth, the struggle of figuring out how to learn and grow on your own, the complexity of relationships in the games, plenty of parallels, and a sibling type dynamic, then this fic is for you! completed.
