Author has written 5 stories for Naruto, Sonic the Hedgehog, Code Geass, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Young Justice. Well, I haven't had in actual profile since I became a member, so I think I'll change that now. I will not be giving out my name, I'm careful about that. I'm just a painfully average college student trying to get into vet school (in all honesty, it's not looking too good). I love to draw comics, animals (you probably figured that out) and martial arts (though I'm not that good and quite skinny). Am I boring you yet? Yeah, that's what I mean by being painfully average. I can enjoy just about anything in entertainment, though I have some genre biases. I enjoy anime, especially shonen because it has such a huge imagination and often innovative characters. And I tend to like long stories. My prefered music is rock/alternative, and of course many anime songs. Though I'm something of an introvert, I love to hang out with my friends whenever I get the chance. Hell, there's nothing special about me. Since this is , I guess I should talk about myself as a writer. Well, I'm an ameture, and I'm learning things as I go. There's a lot of fics out there that are pretty unoriginal, but that doesn't make it automatically bad. If you honestly can't think of a completley original idea, look at what's been done before, think about how to do it differently. Or mix it up with another element as well. Did someone have an idea and it turned out to be complete crap? Think of how to make it work!! Not satisfied with the direction your series took? Write how you think it should have been. Once you figure out what kind of things you want to do with your story, figure out the begining, any significant middle parts, and the end. Think of a goal for where you want each of the characters, whether in canon or original, to be when it's all over. If any part of your first draft conflicts with your ultimate goals, redo it. Also, don't think about it too hard. It has to come naturally, any forced elements will turn out pretty bad. If you include pairings in your story, don't ignore the other things going on in canon, unless it's after the series takes place. There are always other things happening. Also, NO HIGH SCHOOL AUS!! If you want to write a story about a character from an established and copyrighted series, WRITE ABOUT THAT CHARACTER IN HIS WORLD. If you want to write in a high school setting, it's not fanfiction, it's fiction. Finally, do not bash a character. Every character serves a purpose in the series they are in. Realize their nieche, and try to understand the character. All right, as for MY stories. I decided to discontinue my Inuyasha story. I learned how to use the stats mechanism, and no one was reading it. But I fully intend to finish my Naruto story. Finally, I want to end my profile talking about reviewing. When you review, give a critique. Update soon! is the worst thing you can leave, I'd rather people not tell me anything at all than to update. I want to know what caught your eye in the chapter, what I need to work on, and where you think I should go from there. If there's something about the story confusing you, I'll do my best to answer you without giving anything away. If you favorited a story, I think it's your responsibility to leave a review every other chapter at least to let the author know you're reading it and you're still enjoying it. |
