Author has written 10 stories for Harry Potter, Digimon, Fruits Basket, and Naruto.
I am a person with very little free time but I love to read and write. So, as a result, I am writing, then posting them here in a last ditch, desperate attempt to unleash my creativity and stop myself from obsessing over my stories.
hmm, what else to say?
How about a profile of myself since I'm bored and procrastinating on homework...
Name: Fawkes'Feather (aka Phoenix) I usually refer to myself as Fawkes or Phoenix
Age: 17 now! woohoo!
color: blue, green, black
food: SUSHI (I cannot live without sushi. AND sashimi. and Japanese food in general)
book: ooh, hard one. I can't say because I love most of them. At the moment, I'm obsessing about The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. The ending was absolutely amazing and completely fitting which made up for any of my annoyances with the book in general.
anime: naruto, fruits basket, digimon, bleach (in no certain order)
Phobias: spiders, small spaces, clowns (irrational, I know, but they freak me out), and heights (but I'm getting over that one...I think). OH! I also have an especial fear of horror movies. because my imagination likes to kick my ass and then I see ghosts and zombies and freaky things coming out of every dark corner of my room...and then I become an insomniac.
That's about it. And now for some quotes:
"The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work." -Emile Zola (I love this quote. It inspires me to work and makes me feel guilty when I'm being lazy...like right now /sweatdrop/)
"God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh" -Voltaire (too true)
There are no words for me to say,
no thoughts for me to think.
Not now, not ever, especially not today,
and I can't help but sink
to my knees, overwhelmed with this feeling
which I shall not divulge, I said,
for it shall send you reeling,
make you fall and hit your head
Not now, not ever, especially not today
-Fawkes (in a random burst of creativity)
(Oh yes, all the poems that I post are mine and MINE alone! Please don't make me get out the shotgun and hunt down anyone stealing my work...)
I don't pretend to be a very good writer so I will make mistakes. I hate it when authors think they're infallible and then get defensive when someone criticizes word choice, grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc... Personally, I would LOVE to get criticized more often. (here that, people? glowing reviews are so flattering and make my day but I'd also like to know if there are any improvements that can be made)
I've been flamed a few times but I usually just ignore them. Flames don't work, despite what you may think. Don't just tell me that my story sucked, tell me WHY it sucked and how I could fix it. THEN it'd be effective and I'd probably take it to heart and do my very best to improve whatever it is that was wrong.
So, there you have it. Bon soir, mes amis. Au revoir. A demain.
(oh yes, occasionally, I'll write stuff in French. More so this year than before because...I'm practicing for AP French. I've been studying for over 6 years now and my grammar and vocabulary STILL suck. /sigh/ WHY must it be such a hard language? Too many rules. and too many exceptions. but don't worry, for the French bits and pieces that I write, I'll add a translation. haha. and an apology for the real French speakers out there who can see through all my grammatical mistakes.
translation for above: Good evening, my friends. Good-bye. Until tomorrow.)
