![]() Author has written 8 stories for Mass Effect, Elder Scroll series, and Honor Harrington. I started Beacon’s Effect as a simple writing exercise in university. I LOVED Mass Effect… as in, you have no idea how much I loved Mass Effect (Yes, yes, we all hated the ME3 endings… EVERYONE onboard the bandwagon!), but there were of course always things I would have done differently. There were a lot of unexplored characters and entire scenarios that were completely passed over or overlooked in the game canon. I keep a little notebook where I jot my thoughts down (it’s not regular enough to be called a journal or a diary), and I just started keeping my ideas for Mass Effect fanfiction in there. Then, when challenged to create a re-imagining of our favorite story by my university prof, I typed up the first chapter of Beacon’s Effect. Readers and reviewers responded positively, and requested additional chapters. And the rest, as they say, is history. Looking back at the first chapters, I kinda cringe, as my writing style (I like to think, anyway) has greatly improved since then. But they serve to keep me humble, and are a reminder of where I started. You guys are the reason behind what I write: the Muse, and the guiding force. Obviously, I do not own Mass Effect, Dr. Who, or any of the other fandoms I have/may write fanfics about. I must return to the stars again Please take a look at my favorite stories! They are what inspire me to write my own. |
