The author's take on the 'Elizabeth saves Georgiana in Ramsgate' trope. Mr Darcy was not so keen on the idea of Georgiana spending time with an ill-mannered country girl. And Elizabeth could not figure out how two such different people - Darcy and Georgiana - could ever be related! AU. E/D. HEA.

This follows the trope of what if Elizabeth was not really Bennet. As is often the case with various fan fiction tropes, reality, facts and what can actually occur has to be suspended quite a bit while reading (I know I certainly suspended it while writing).

Mrs. Bennet has a plan to take advantage of Lydia's eloping with Mr. Wickham, but things do not work out as she had hoped.

Darcy rescues Elizabeth from a cruel fate and seeks to protect her from ruin. Will Darcy be forced to face the gallows to save Elizabeth? Caroline Bingley cares more about her brother's happiness in this telling than wealth and standing and, while she does not think herself to be good, caring about someone else selflessly brings out the best in people.

Elizabeth and Darcy come to an earlier understanding after Mr. Phillips overhears Wickham's accusations against Darcy in Meryton. It is a rocky path to forgiveness.

What if Mr. Collins was a friend of Mr. Darcy. Col. Fitzwilliam and Mr. Bingley prior to Darcy and Bingley going to Hertfordshire? As of right now this is a concept of only a few chapters (posted in a single posting), that I would like to flesh out into a story, but I need some suggestions for inspiration. I would appreciate any ideas

What if Collins was vile, Lady Catherine was crazy and the Gardiners better connected in friendship? A ridiculous romp of farfetchedness. Reader beware, characters will be out of cannon and rational facts will be suspended for this telling.

Our story begins 2 years before the original P&P. Elizabeth has grown up loving and caring for Longbourn, knowing it would one day pass to a complete stranger whom her father despises, but then that man dies and his son visits. Would she consider marriage to save Longbourn? A prolonged arrangement in place, what happens when a certain gentleman comes to the area years later?

The second installment of "It might have all been different," where we explore how a single change or perhaps one large change might alter the entire story of P&P. Happily Ever After is not guaranteed.

I found myself, one day, wondering how Kitty and Mary would have turned out had Kitty been closer to Mary instead of Lydia. How might the story have changed? (Just a warning that this isn't likely to be a E/D HEA. That could change, but at this moment it does not look like it will.)

This is a sample now. Darcy has just been rejected by Elizabeth, thrown into an unfamiliar world of uncertainty and self-doubt. Her rebuke forces him to take stock of his life and become a better man. Perhaps if fate is on his side, his struggles will be rewarded, and she will be placed on his path again. This is the original story from Darcy's POV.

Or so he thinks. This story follows Darcy through Pride & Prejudice, mostly during the times when he is not seen in the book.

An unspeakable act leaves the Gardiners seeking a solution to their daughter's disgrace, but a solution for one is a trap for another. Roles are reversed again and again as everyone takes a turn being trapped or trapping another. A P&P prequel, rated "M" for rape and dark themes.

In this story I try to imagine what might have happened if Darcy had arrived at Pemberley just an hour too late to meet Elizabeth Bennet there while she was on her northern tour with the Gardiners. I had to make Georgiana less shy than canon so she can try to get them together again. HEA

Lizzie is a young widow with two little children. Recovering from her loss has taken time, but she is taking her first steps back into society.

A re-imagining of Darcy's encounter with Elizabeth at the inn in Lambton with Elizabeth actually becoming ill upon reading Jane's letter. Not entirely happy but a different spin on the interaction between our two favorite people.

Lizzie gradually takes over the running of Longbourn after becoming aware of her father's neglect... with impacts far greater than she could have ever imagined.

When provided with supernatural intervention, will Wickham choose redemption or damnation when finally given the opportunity to triumph over Darcy? Secrets in their shared past do not cast Darcy in the best light and provide some justification for why Wickham went bad. Told from a Christian perspective. All in all, it was a highly eligible match and Mary was quite pleased with herself for securing it. She might wish Mr. Collins paid more attention to his scriptures and the writings of the great theologians than to the edicts of Lady Catherine, but Mary's own scholarship in that area was more than sufficient to remedy the lack.

Fitzwilliam Darcy is delayed until November for his 1812 trip to Rosings, so he has not seen or heard any news of the inhabitants of Hertfordshire for a year. He encounters something at Rosings that leaves him badly shaken, and starts him to a journey he could not have imagined.
