I write one-shots often, and publish them occasionally. To get a sense for what I'm into, check out my favorite fics. Fix fics and time travel are a guilty pleasure for me, but what I really like are well-written AU fics. A good fic should scale up the challenges the main character faces. There should be tension and fear in your heart. Seventh Horcrux the exception that proves the rule.

Everything would have been going according to plan, but with each passing day, each hour, his servant's memories are fading...
