Author has written 11 stories for Naruto, Sailor Moon, Bleach, and Last of the Mohicans.
Been writing fanfiction too long. Hard to believe I even tried to "retire" once.
As a Writer:
I like to think a lot, mull over and brood about every single detail that goes into my stories--especially the long ones (Novocain for the Ninja Soul). My muse is a little demon that likes to abandon me in times of need and then sneaks up on me unexpectedly, forcing me to binge-write (that is, sometimes writing 10-12 pages on MS Word in one sitting). I love to write; it's my world to play in (and manipulate characters I adore). People who have read my stuff know that angst is my forte and I love to torture characters. Most of my stories are adult-rated and contain a hefty amount of graphic violence, sex and profanity. They also have many more mature themes that kiddies may not understand, hence all the warnings at the very top. One time I got the strangest comment: one reader saying that I "sure have a lot of swearing in X fic". Um, I have warnings all the over the place. And none of my angsty work is sugar-coated. It's raw and ugly, and I don't hold anything back when I write. If that's your cup of tea, then by all means, sit down at your computer with a hard drink and have a read :)
As a Reader:
I'm quite a picky reader. Too many spelling and grammar mistakes will turn me off. Usually if I'm not in tune with the author's writing style within the first 3 paragraphs, then I move on to something else. Most of the time, if the summary of the story on the category page is bad, I won't even bother. It's hard to find decently written fanfiction on here, let alone excellent fanfiction. A decently written smut fic is even rarer. Also, I find if a story goes on for more than 40+ chapters, it drags and I have to question if it's ever going to end. I HATE Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus or any OC x series character. I also think it's sad when some authors pompously demand X number of reviews before they release the next chapter. It makes me stop reading and not leave any review at all. One of the worst is seeing "I suck at writing summaries" as the summary for the fic on the category page. If you say you suck at writing summaries, why would I assume you're any good at writing at all?
