A bit about me (and why I love the fandoms that I do):
I am Asian and came to live in the UK at one and a half. I am writing a story that I hope to get published in the years to come. I am addicted to Fanfiction and get quite disappointed when I find that I have little reviews for my stories. I love flying (on an aeroplane; I'm not a fairy - I wish!) and going abroad. My dream is to have a job in the writing industry; either journalism or an authoress (second one is most preferable).
I have loved Winx Club since... I don't know... since I was ten? but I think that Nick has totally down graded it. Layla is a lot (saying bit is an understatement) Out of Character and I think the voices are terrible. 4Kids shouldn't have lost their licensing.
I've only recently started watching The DG (about a year ago now) so I had a lot of catching up to do since they broadcasted series two last year. Its totally cool and people should check it out. I can't wait for Part Two of series three but September is a long way off. Those people writing for the DG fandom will have some kind of clue on what I'm rambling on about. Others? Well, I suggest you go take a look on YouTube.
If you've seen Frozen, you are amazing. I think it's truly brilliant. Elsa, omigod, she is gorgeous. So is Kristoff. And Anna has her fair share of beauty too. Olaf, and Sven, they are so cute. Hans, he is so the average good-looking villain. Oaken and the trolls, wow. They just have the best intentions in mind.
Ohhh, Sherlock... Please don't get me started on him. (But I guess you have, sooo... here goes.) He is just the definition of absolute perfection. I love his hair, omigod. Just fabulous. And he was so sweet in The Sign of Three (S03E02) vowing to always stay by John. I nearly cried. I shed a few tears in The Reichenbach Fall (S02E03), though. Seeing the best character in the world commit suicide is just way too heart wrenching. But, it's fake, we find out, so... whoo! And John, gosh, he goes so well with Sherlock. Why isn't the Johnlock pairing real? Why? Irene Adler, Janine, Moriarty and Magnussen can all go die in hell. I hate them. With a burning passion.
Why I Write:
I write because… well… I like it. ‘I like to write’ is probably my primary reason. But aside from that it’s because I have the ideas to write and personally, I think I have the talent. I believe I am at least good at writing. I mean, I’m not great and I’m certainly far from the best, but I like to think I am good. I can write for hours on end and not get tired of it. I’ll keep going even if my fingers hurt from typing or my wrist hurts from using a pencil. It helps me get rid of the burdens of life and I can be totally me when I put words on a page. I like to entertain people and know what my readers think. And even though my works have recently been on the more angsty side, I still want people to enjoy them. I appreciate knowing what people think of my writing. I write to practise at it because practice makes perfect, right?
And one last thing. (Well, two): Firstly, I'd like to thank all of my readers for checking out my stories. I know I don't reply to reviews and maybe that's the reason why there's a shortage of them, but I do appreciate every single one of them. I really do. And secondly, I forget to put disclaimers in my stories, so here's a general one: I don't own any of the fandoms I write/have written for. Everything I own limits to my plots and my OC's. That's it.
Forums I Participate in:
Winx Club Fanfiction Challenges or WCFC. A friendly forum where varied Winx Club-themed challenges take place. New members are always welcome. This forum has actually swallowed most of my time. I can't complain though: it's too much fun!
Winx Writers Anonymous or WWA. Another friendly forum where you can go for advice, to complain, to celebrate and a whole lot of other stuff. I'm a fairly new member so I still don't know everything about it. If you want to get the full picture... go check it out!
My Personal Favourites from the three fandoms I frequent (aka the stories you just have to check out):
Winx Club: Out of the Darkness by PierceTheVeils and StrangeMindEnigma. 'The Trix have one more mission to accomplish before they're free. A prince was killed, and the Winx are determined to catch the murderer. When these events collide, a force is revealed, and it's worse than they ever imagined.' One of my favourites because it's unique. Well thought out. I really sympathise with some of the characters.
Sherlock: Alone on the Water by MadLori. 'Sherlock is diagnosed with a terminal illness.' This one, gosh, this literally made me cry buckets. Now, I don't cry easy, and most stories only mange a tug at my heart. This one... you won't believe how this one is overflowing with angst. Guaranteed to move even the most withered of hearts, the emotion comes through exceptionally well, all of the characters are written how the show portrays them, and the choice of words is just... wow. Love it.
Frozen: Aaron and the Snow Queen by TrassDrakin. 'Elsa isn't alone in the mountains. She fled her coronation and found someone she didn't intend to meet. Does her fear separate them? Or does love bloom?' Done by one of my favourite authors. An Elsa/OC story, takes place just after our Ice Queen flees her coronation. Written with lovely, long chapters and beautifully portrayed characters, this might be the one story where each of my reviews are filled with praise filled to the brim.
Thanks for checking out my profile. I'll catch you later!
