Maidens and Mayhem in Middle-earth was created from The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion categories using the search terms All Ratings and OC. Manual searches were also performed and updates will continue. It is my goal to comb these "new releases" and older fics bit by bit to hopefully bring you the most complete collection of 'person-from-our-world-falls-into-Middle-earth' fanfics available*.

If you speak a language other than English or Spanish and can help identify falling into Middle-earth stories in your own tongue, please recommend them to me! Fanfiction. net is and should be a place of diversity and inclusion, so help us keep it that way.

It was recently pointed out to me that there are also a smattering of 'Boy-falls-into-Middle-earth' fics out there, and even some non-binary OC's as well. The trope/genre name among the fanon is still GDIME or GFIME, but this community will remain safe place for OC's of all genders.

Right now my goal is compilation. I do intend to get around to reading each and every one of your wonderful stories eventually--just understand it will take quite some time. In the meantime, take some time to enjoy reading other authors' stories and review for them. Who knows? They might just return the favor!
