I think my best stuff is here (well... the stuff that I posted more recently anyway): http://www.fictionpress.com/rugsrat
Ah yes, Korra. Finally, after years of stagnation and indifference, I finally caved and wrote a fanfiction again. Well, crap. Don't think I'll ever write another for the fandom, but it was a fun experiment.
To those still reading my work, thank you, very, very much. It's kinda cool to look at the stats page after 3 years and still see that apparently someone likes it. Good feeling. Very good feeling.
As to actual progress, I'm gonna basically say that everything here is on indefinite hiatus. I'm just not a fanfiction writer anymore, it was a great time, but just not... me... anymore.
Story Things to Know:
In Progress Works:
Being Yourself: Something short and sweet and probably more subtle than I've written in quite some time. I've always been fascinated by the idea of the Avatar being a reincarnation of a spirit a thousand times over. There must be some bleed... which we've had evidence of. Korra's crooked grin is a dead ringer for Aang. So yeah, this happened. I liked writing it... actually, it was more like it wrote itself. A nice change. And hey, it's NOT a shipping fic. Probably one in a million at this point.
Leader of the Pack: Yeah, it's done. I've looked it over fairly recently. And there's nothing more to really add here. I enjoyed that one a lot.
Hands: Sorry to disapoint those who enjoyed it, but it's over. I have nothing left to add. I really only intended the first chapter anyway. I enjoyed writing the characters, and I wish to extend my sincere thanks to each and every one of you who enjoy it, and to the two people who have told me it sounds like a missing scene, you have my biggest thanks, that's the highest compliment I could have hoped to get, and not one I was even aiming for.
The Ballad of Matthias: An English Project my senior year, and my poor attempt at poetry. It's ok. If you liked it, I'm glad, if not, no big deal. I got an A- by the way.
Forbidden: -snort- what the hell was I thinking? I'm fairly certain I hadn't slept much that night.
A Special Relationship: There's pretty much no way I can continue this now. Now that Korra's released. I mean, I guess I COULD, but I think it would feel even more false than it already did, and especially where the Zuko's mom story is apparently going to be told in comic book form, my idea is pretty much moot. Still, I did especially like writing that first chapter. That was fun.
Forever is a Long Time: I'd like to continue this one, but my writing style has changed dramatically, and I'm not sure for the better. So I'd probably have to go back and rework the entire thing, re-watch the show to reaquaint myself with the continuity, and then maybe, and then get the motivation required to write it. Shame. I think this one could have really been something special.
What a Guy!: -snort- Oh god. This thing. Crack. Pure crack. Not a terrible idea, I think. And more realitically handled than some stupid crap I've seen. But I think the webcomic Misfile deals with these issues better than I ever could. So... I'll just leave this here.
