So, I'm a 36 year old non-binary person. Wide range of interests, far too many to list, and I doubt anyone really cares anyway. I've been floating around this site for years, but have finally reached the point where I decided to contribute my plot bunnies to this marvellous mass of fluffy fur; mainly because the bunnies were breeding and my head was getting too crowded. There's only so many pairs of slippers you can make after all.

My writing is still amateurish, but I've reached the point where I won't get better without some real feedback from other writers. Or at least that's the theory. I'm an aspiring novelist, and this is where I practice, so feel free to tear my work apart. Tell me what I did well, where I can improve, hell, anything that sticks out particularly. As long as the focus is my work and you don't get personal, I'm not offended in the slightest with criticism and I will thank you profusely for taking the time to help me out. I won't lie, I'm probably going to be a review whore. But then again, aren't we all? (Update regarding Review Whore status: yes, yes I am...)

I'm always happy to receive messages, so don't be shy! Also, if anyone wants a prompt/challenge, I always have far too many ideas to write myself, so I'm happy to share the love. Just ask! Seriously, ask. I have ideas and no time to write them but I would really like to read some of them. C'mon, do a body a favour? Please? Anyone? *hears crickets*

The Vahan Saga

The first part, Vahan, is complete, and the first sequel has begun. *Insert mad scientist laughter here* It's ALIVE!!!!!

Many people have asked about the pairing for this series, and I'm honestly sick of answering the question so I'm just going to put it here (not that anyone ever actually READS it). There won't be one. This is not a tale of romance and overcoming emotional damage when finding the love of his life. This is not a redemption story. This is not even a coming of age story. It's a story about a kid forced into a terrible situation, and the things he did to survive and fulfil what he believes to be his purpose in life. It isn't a nice story, and it won't become so at any point. It's dark, it's horrible, and it's terribly sad. So no, there won't be romance in this story at all.

Side note, I've been very unwell for a long time, and as such haven't been able to update my work. But Vahan is NOT abandoned! He will return! Don't give up on us!

I've received a very disturbing email, and feel the need to clarify something very VERY important.

IN NO WAY DO I SUPPORT, ENDORSE, OR APPROVE OF CHILD ABUSE, NEGLECT, OR PROSTITUTION. It is a despicable practice that destroys lives, and in no way is my work intended to glamorise or promote it.

My work was intended to highlight how such events impact a person and affects their life and future relationships. I attempt to handle this sensitively, but I am only human, and an amateur writer, so if I’ve gotten it horribly wrong, I apologise.

I try to mark all my stories with appropriate tags to prevent causing issues to people who don't want to read about such things. The contents of my stories are SUPPOSED to be challenging and disturbing, and outright sickening. They are supposed to make you think, and feel. But above all, THEY ARE FICTION. They are NOT IN ANY WAY indicative of my own preferences or actions! Please bear that in mind if you choose to read my work.

I would think all of this would be obvious, but apparently it isn’t. Just rest assured that despite this persons demands, I will not willingly be removing my stories. If the admin gods chose to take them down, so be it, but it will never be removed by my doing.

The Great Escape

I honestly hadn't intended to continue this, but the response has been so completely overwhelming that I've decided I'll do it. Don't hold your breath, it will be quite a while, but it will happen. If you want to read more in that series, follow either my profile or the story. I'll post a note at the end of The Great Escape when the sequel is posted.

I had a few people ask if they could write a sequel or story based on this work, and if anyone is thinking about it, I'll say the same thing I told everyone else: Go for it! All I ask is that you a) include a note saying that you got the inspiration for the story from me *insert shameless profile pimping here* and b) that you let me know when it's posted so I can read it too!

The Morning After

This series is just a casual 'as I feel like it' type project between my brother (DrunkHarry) and myself. There will be more, but no set schedule.
