![]() Author has written 13 stories for Vampire Diaries, Originals, Harry Potter, and Game of Thrones. Hi there! Thanks to all who devote some of their valuable time to read my stories. All constructive criticism and reviews are greatly appreciated; I'm always looking to improve my writing. Just a couple of tidbits about myself: I am 30 and am from the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. I love to be outdoors in the summer, hiking, biking, camping, horseback riding, even just sitting...as long as I'm in the sun, I'm happy. I have the worst Teva tanline of all time. In the winter I go into hibernation mode and gain 20 pounds. Or thirty...maybe... I love love LOVE giraffes. I'd think that would be obvious. I have 38 giraffes -- including a wicker one as tall as I am named Edwin that sits on my screened in porch. I mean, who doesn't like giraffes? Who of you can resist that goofy, adorable face? I've traveled the world: Costa Rica, France, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Canada, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis (and other various islands in the Caribbean), the Virgin Islands, and most of the United States. I'm blessed to have been to all of these places -- it has opened windows to other worlds that you would never guess existed. I'm a flight attendant! I love flying, and I love people (mostly), and I love that everyday is different and unpredictable. I have a terrible southern accent but I talk like a nerd. I am a walking National Geographic and can tell you all about the most random things: sharks, Papua New Guinea, vague Amazonian tribes, corn farming in Kansas, extinct species, the box-jellyfish, pirates and ninjas...I may be a total dweeb, but you'll always walk away from me with some new piece of information. (Did you know that the almond is part of the peach family? And that Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy? Now you do.) Southeastern Africa is my favorite place on the planet -- I traveled there several years ago, and my heart never left. I am currently working on getting back over there. I intend to eventually go into the mission field after I tire of flight attendant life. I am at my best when I am serving people. I like to think that the single action of a single person can change a life somewhere, even if it seems inconsequential. I am the daughter of two Presbyterian ministers. Enough said. I am also an adrenaline junkie. A lot of things on my bucket list have already been crossed off, but I have many more just waiting to be fulfilled! My dad is not too thrilled about my base-jumping plans in Norway. I'm soooo psyched. :D I'm a weird blend of extroverted and introverted. When in a social setting, I seek people out. Wallflowers and those that are socially impaired don't stand a chance. I will find you. But then when I'm home, I'm done. Absolutely done. I don't want to look at people, I don't want to talk to people; I just want to crawl under a blanket and drink tea and listen to the coyotes howl while I write or read or watch K-dramas and anime. It's like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I can be bribed with any kind of doughnut. I love to read and write (obviously). I love semicolons -- and tend to overuse them in my stories. Y'all will just have to get over it. My favorite books are Exodus by Leon Uris, the HP series by J.K. Rowling, and All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, and my favorite authors are Pat Conroy, Tana French, Jodi Picoult, James Rollins and Nora Roberts (yes, I enjoy a cheesy romance novel every now and then. Anyone who says they don't is a liar). I love Harry Potter, Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood and the Originals; most of my stories will fall into these categories, unless someone suggests something creative for another book or TV show or I get a funny urge to write outside of my comfort zone. I can also watch the Lord of the Rings movies dozens of times a year and never get tired of them. I adore anything Marvel related, and might someday be convinced to write within that fandom. And I am OBSESSED with Game of Thrones (the show, not the books -- which is weird, because usually it's the other way around). I hate Twilight. I think Stephanie Meyer is a fairly unremarkable writer to begin with, and then when the movies came out it just got ten times worse... (The magic carpet in Aladdin has more facial expressions than Kristen Stewart.) Don't even talk to me about that 50 Shades of Grey crap. I'm telling you, the movie is great comedic relief. My best friend and I went together to see it in theaters -- best 10 bucks I've spent in a while. We were cracking up. The books are good for a laugh as well -- just fully expect that you might lose some brain cells along the way. Around the time the pandemic hit I got really into anime! I love Fairy Tail and Bleach and My Hero Academia, as well as anime-style shows like Avatar and Legend of Voltron and Dragon Prince. Manga and anything else of Japanese origin is just awesome. I also love Manwha and K-dramas and K-pop and just anything Korean. I think the people are beautiful and the language is super cute (written and spoken) and the food is just freaking divine. All cultures around the world fascinate me, but none more so than those of east and southeast Asia (um, Thai food anyone?). I have an embarrassing celebrity crush on Daniel Gillies. He is simply delicious. I also have developed an unhealthy sense of yearning for Tom Holland (the newest Spiderman) because for some reason I find him adorable and fascinating and he has enough self-confidence to sink a ship, which is really sexy; and he has a great Londoner accent, which I love. My other celebrity crushes are Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Nathanial Buzolic (of course), Jensen Ackles, Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Pine and Danny Pino. Mark Harmon is pretty hot too, even if he is like seventy now. But whatever. And Robert Redford and Harrison Ford used to be on point. Just sayin'. Also, I never want children, but I would make exceptions for any and all of the members of BTS, and Ji Chang-wook. And yes, I have a type. With women, it's athletic blondes; but my eyes are always drawn first to Asian men. There will be absolutely no Stelena, Bill/Sookie or Hermione/Ron in my stories, unless mentioned in passing. Don't even suggest it. It's too predictable. I try to keep the characters I use from getting too OOC. Please tell me if I cross a line somewhere and need to edit some things. That said, I do like to dive into all possible facets of my characters, including sides that may not be stressed in the show/book. There will almost always be smut. I can't help myself; my dirty mind just sort of takes over. I apologize in advance for any offense you might take at the material in my stories, but I will always post a warning in my summaries. Well, that's enough about me -- sit back and enjoy! (And review, if you feel so inclined...just a friendly suggestion...) |
