Welcome to J.J.M. Fisher's profile! Please, call me Jacquelyn. I'm in my mid-twenties now. (Ack!) I'm a web designer, writer, and artist. I have previously worked as a marketing assistant and web administrator and am currently finishing up (yet another) degree before going for my masters. I spent six years of my childhood living in Okinawa, Japan, (which I will forever call my childhood home) and was able to enjoy two summers during college studying abroad in beautiful Saint-Petersburg, Russia. I've also lived all over the USA, though my heart belongs to the deserts of the southwest.
I prefer to write original fictions and have quite a few novels-in-progress. My masterpiece is currently called Healer's Quest. I have been working on this massive story since November of 2006, and over that amount of time, the story expanded from a single novel to a trilogy or series. Therefore, I am currently re-doing the character profiles and fixing up the plot. This is a very complex story with multiple plots and subplots. It has a plague epidemic, civil war, battles, assassinations, ambushes, an evil secret order, royalty, exiles, intrigue, and knights. My goal is to have the first novel completed by the end of the year (December 2011). My ultimate desire is to publish this amazing tale.
Also worth noting, in February I began publishing an original webnovel called Avarini over at my deviantart account. [link] After a massive earthquake devastates the country, the title character Avarini finds herself taking care of some orphans until the orphanage's patron arrives. This simple act of kindness leads Avarini down a treacherous road filled with prejudice, hatred, deceit, lies, war, and brings her face-to-face with the man who murdered her husband five years ago.
Though I do not usually write fanfiction, I have decided to share a limited number of some things I had hidden away. Some are very old, some are new; some are bad, some are decent. You decided what you like or not. I had fun writing them, and that is all the really matters from my perspective. After all, I write for my own enjoyment first and foremost. If others find my work interesting, then it is an additional blessing.
Certainly my most popular story here is my on-going InuYasha fanfiction, From Deep Within, which is now being published at my deviantart account to try to share the love. [link] Though it began on a whim with no purpose other than a character-study of Sesshoumaru-sama, it has taken on a life of its own and flourished. I am honored that so many have read and enjoyed this adventurous and sometimes humorous tale, and I cherish each of your reviews. Thank-you! ^_^
I am not obsessed with any particular fandom, and my little library here has some (albeit not that much) variety. I hope you find something here that you will enjoy reading. If you would like to stay informed on my writing progress, with the on-going fanfictions below and progress on my original fictions, feel free to visit my writing journal. I also love to draw so I have down a few pieces inspired by From Deep Within. See below.
