So, over on Tumblr, Sherlolly29 drew a lovely picture of Sherlock kissing Molly's hand and requested that someone write a fic about that. So, here it is, but Sherlock being Sherlock couldn't merely contemplate one kind of kissing, he had to launch an investigation into them all, since he is conducting a social experiment. It's for science! Except of course it isn't-its for love.

Sherlock lives with John in Baker Street post S2, but all is not as it should be. Sherlock is finding himself increasingly unable to trust his own mind, creating a fearful and confusing world. Strange and inexplicable visions, thoughts and ideas leach increasingly frequently into his world, until Sherlock finds himself vacillating between worlds both familiar and unfamiliar...Why?

On their way back to Baker Street during stag night, John and Sherlock get into a row. They take a detour to St. Bart's so that Molly Hooper can settle the argument.
