I reserve preferential treatment for UK/CAN spelling in English. I do not write on demand. I was 14 when I came up with my username, which explains a lot, I swear. I started writing at the age of 10.
About My Fics
When I write fan fiction, I don't like to create original characters. It's not my thing. They always stick out like a sore thumb. I DO, however, love to use various character alter egos like they are their own person. That's why you'll find Zelda chatting up Sheik and Tetra like it's nothing. And Link, Dark Link (Dark), Child Link (Kidd), Fierce Deity Link (Damon) have no qualms about co-existing.
I write a lot of Alternate Universe [AU] stories, because I think there are too few of them, and every one else is more than welcome to specialize in canon universes. I feel I already explored the canon long enough to know what its limits are, and they are not fun anymore.
I leave many of my stories up even though they are not representative of my skill anymore. Remember that as the publication dates grow older, so does the story quality. At this stage I only endorse the ones that were published from Straight Shooter and onwards. The rest are there because they are still well-liked, and because I want a handy reminder of all the things I learned.
Fighting Gravity: Set in Hyrule's technological future, an epic about war, flight and the magic that was forgotten.
If you're looking for music to accompany the experience:
Duran Duran - (Reach Up for the) Sunrise
Setting: Modern AU.
If you're reading this, odds are you're trying to find out what I'm up to. I've been distancing myself from the fan fiction world for a while now (even though my future projects don't seem to reflect this). Fan fiction isn't so much a tool for improvement to me anymore as a way to write easy, mindless stories. I started publishing here over ten years ago, and have been honing my writing assiduously since. I've met some extraordinary people in this community, not the least of which is Lyxie, whose work you should definitely check out.
In the meantime, I started dating, got an education, got a job, got engaged. I'm hoping to buy a house sometime soon, and I've started a Translation business. We'll see how all that works out. And in the midst of everything else, I'm still writing. Lyxie and I have bounced several dozen ideas back and forth, trying our hand at collaborative writing (original fiction). I've also got several side projects, mostly original fiction.
So I guess what I'm saying is, thank you for the springboard, people. You'll be the first to know if I get anything published, I swear it.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to message me. I'll be glad to answer any question you may have, whether it's regarding fandoms, fanfiction or anything else that goes through your head.
All my love,
