Hi my name is Curry-llama. It's not actually... but it's my pen name. I could tell you the long and boring story about how I chose that name and how I had this massive thing for llamas at one stage in my life but I'll spare you the pain. Check out my Instagram at jaz_hop where I post up all my art. You can find my art for Hina from Snap Back To Reality on that! Also if you want to check out some of my animations I'm on youtube under the name jlinus! I like: gaming watching tv shows writing stories martial arts drawing (ps I drew most of my cover pics for my stories) I enjoy writing action/adventure/comedy/tragedy. Stories that manage to incorporate all four of these elements at once are my favourite. I find that everyones life has its ups and downs, and for a story to be entirely fluff or angst is something that pulls me right out of that immersion. I want dat drama, I want that struggle, I want those quite contemplative moments, and I want those fun memorable times you spend with family and friends. Life is about experiencing it all, and stories are a way to communicate human expression, so express it ALL! What I hate in stories... hmmm... I absolutely despise harems/reverse harems, eechi, unrealistic mass of big tiddied women simping after one useless man, one stupid female mc that somehow seems so dumb but all the hot dudes love her... yeah get that shit away from me. I also hate it when the mc is edgy the whole way through. I like a bit of edge when they're going through a tough time, but I expect no one wants to follow someone who acts like a manic Sasuke the whole way through their story lol. It's fine if you have a Sasuke like character as a side-character, because it's not unrealistic to have someone behave like that if they went through traumatising shit, but it's also the opposite of fun to follow someone like that from their perspective the entire time. I also REALLY hate YA novels unless it's Hunger Games. I can oddly enough tolerate Hunger Games. I'm also a big simp for Isekai, but the good stuff, not the generic kind of isekai. So far I've only seen about 3 isekai that I really resonated with. Oddly enough two of the three have female main characters and the third ml being... genderless? Well if you want to know the names. It's That One Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, So I'm A Spider So What, and Chronicles of The Hardships of Komachi in The Sengoku Era! Honestly if you're Japanese and thinking of naming your stories... please explain to me why the titles are SO LONG. ANYWAY! How do you even write a profile? I've just been rambling on about random things... so what else do I enjoy? I really like stories that don't follow the plot to the tee. It's fine if that's your thing, but I personally like my stories to take big risks. Normally people drop those stories like flies because they find the risks weren't worth it and want a safe plot they can predict, but screw that, I want some twists and turns and I want to be like WOW that shit just happened at the end. Oddly enough crack fics do this best, and I find serious stories tend to play it safe to keep their audiences. I personally don't do that even in my serious stories like Snap Back To Reality. You can expect people to die, things to change massively when you think you can predict the plot, and I'm not afraid of putting my characters through some moments of intense suffering... cause I'm evil and I admit it. Also love stories that not only have character archs, but also a message it wants to convey on something. Why are you still reading this. Get out of here and check out my instagram at jaz_hop and forget about all this ranting. |
