Author has written 1 story for Lord of the Rings.
Writing and reading are my two biggest passions in life. If possible, I hope one day that I might be able to get some of my personal works published. However, this account is only for personal fun. My writing is not the best. Personally, I hate it. With time, I know I can keep getting better though. For now, I prefer writing for my own enjoyment and couldn’t care less what others thought.
Criticism is fine. It helps everyone get better. Flames on the other hand, I find childish and simply laugh at. So, do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here. If you don’t like any of my stories, leave. It’s that simple. Trust me guys, I role-play, and have written fan fiction before. You’re not bitching about anything I haven’t heard before.
With that being said, I am an active role-player. I also have an AMV hobby that keeps me extremely busy. These both take up a lot of my spare time. It gives me motivation for writing and sometimes even new story ideas. My characters range from my own creations to canon from specific shows, books, etc.
In the case of my AMVS, those are all anime based. I’m involved with a lot of studios that host multiple editor projects. So, I have deadlines that must be met. This means I won’t always update here frequently, but I try. I will at least do that much, so no worries.
My mind doesn’t function great all the time and my motivation lacks quite a bit. I end up revising my stories a lot too. I’m picky and always feel like something could be done or said before. As a person who is fast at typing too, I make a lot of stupid mistakes that need correcting. Please forgive me on that account.
Another reason for constant revisions is that I do take critique seriously. Whatever people are willing to give, I will take in. Just keep in mind again, I never ask for anyone’s opinion on how much my stories suck or how disgraceful it is being to the actual show, book, etc. This is a hobby and practice to help with my writing. It will stay that way. If you do not like a certain story or pairing that may occur, then don’t read it.
It’s as simple as that. Let’s all try and be mature okay?
Yu Yu Hakusho, Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters, Ah! My Goddess, Sailor Moon, Inuyasha, Wolf’s Rain, Full Moon Wo Sagashite, Clannad, Fruits Basket, Spiral, Kenshin, Full Metal Alchemist, Gundam Seed/Destiny, DN Angel, Angel Beats. Ask if you want to know more. There’s way too many to list.
Well…anything for the most part. Mostly I enjoy mystery stories or horror based ones that are actually decent.
Supernatural, Angel, Charmed, Law&Order SVU, Law&Order, House, Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Lord Of The Rings, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight, Halloween Series, most other horror films that are actually tasteful or scary and not cheesy.
Lunar Silver Star Story, Lunar Eternal Blue, Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9, 10, Dissidia, Crisis Core, DOC, Xenosaga Trilogy, Spryo, Legend Of Dragoon, Kingdom Hearts, Dark Cloud, Valkyrie Profile.
Don’t be surprised if you ever see stories popping up that contain crack pairings or crossovers. I LOVE these. I do this constantly in role-play and in my AMVS. I find more chemistry and stories that could be developed between certain characters. Any kind of unlikely match, I’ll probably love. Plus, some of them are flat out cute. If I can think of a good plot to match up crack or crossover, I will likely write about it.
In the matter of original characters paired up with canon, I do like them, but only if they’re done right. I’ll freely admit that I am picky with this. Certain creations that are paired up with canon characters I feel need to be done in certain ways or it just gets a little too crazy. That’s just my preference though.
Kind of a flaw I have, but I get way too descriptive sometimes and leave out dialogue. I don’t know why, but I’ve always had this problem ever since I began writing. I can think of what I want to happen in my head…but when it comes out, it’s nothing but crap or too much description. For that, I am sorry, because I know it will pop up a lot in stories.
I hate labels. Mary-sues, Gary-sues is all pointless in my book. While I do admit there are certain original characters I don’t like how they’re paired up with canon characters, that don’t mean I classify them in those categories. People write how they please and have fun with it. That’s good enough for me and I don’t feel the need to rant about how terrible a person’s character is because of that. You guys write stories you love and they’ll do the same. If you don’t like it…well…no one forced you to read it right?
Lord Of The Rings;
The Cursed Elf; In Progress; Undergoing Revisions;
Decades ago, Gandalf the Grey was entrusted with an elfling. The mother, a gravely wounded elf known as Adelia, pleaded with him to save her child. Gandalf graciously heeded her final request, and placed the elfling, Melian, among the hobbits. It was there she grew up, safely hidden within the Shire. She happily lived in peace, until the day came when the war of the One Ring began. To help her dearest friend, Frodo, she joins his quest, never knowing just what dark part she will be destined to play during this war.
Secrets are revealed. Destinies unfold. And hard choices must be made.
Melian soon finds herself a member in the fellowship and makes friends in the oddest ways. All the while discovering more about her past, powers, and the dark attraction Sauron holds for her. With friends both old and new, she will have to find the strength to conquer the darkness growing within her, and perhaps discover something more amazing than she could have ever imagined.
Yup. Bullet proof shield would definitely be needed right now. I'm very sorry for never bringing the updates I promised. As usual, things got in the way and my mind became ever distracted with other things. Good news though, my mind has been focused on pretty much nothing but this story. In the last week, I've been watching the Lord of the Rings movies again. Soon, I'll be reading the books as well. With the Hobbit making its big debut in a few months, I want to be fully refreshed. In doing so, my love for this story has been revived.
Again, I will be doing some revisions. Though...I'm also working on the newer chapters that I never posted too! Whether or not the revisions will make things better or worse, I don't know. Guess that will be up to my readers to decide. On a brighter side, this time has let me focus more on how I want this story to really fill out. I always knew the path I wanted it to take, but now I really have a clear vision.
Thanks to all those who have kept reviewing, favoring, and so forth with this story. You guys have no idea how much that means to me. When I started this story, I never thought it would be this popular. I'm so glad seeing how many people like it. Also, I'm happy that Melian seems relatively well received. Writing a story like this, I really wanted to make sure the character was likeable too. Not just some random one thrown in. Hopefully with the revisions and continuation, I can continue making her grow and become a better character.
All the reviews I've gotten for this story have really kept my spirits up. It really has guys and I won't let you down this time! I intend to finish this story. Especially since I have other ideas brewing for this series too. Plus, when did this story become part of a community?! You're breaking me guys, you really are.
Once more, thank you all for reviewing, particularly Aralinn. For literally showing me the spots where I left out words or made mistakes. It's a huge help as I'm revising this! Stay tuned in the coming months for revised chapters and plus, finally, brand new ones, as Melian continues her adventures with the Fellowship.
