![]() Author has written 29 stories for Life on Mars, Ashes to Ashes, Cranford, Byron, Demons, Misc. Tv Shows, and Downton Abbey. Long time lurker on fanfiction but Ashes to Ashes (and Life on Mars) have inspired me to put finger to keyboard. As you can tell from my stories, I particularly like the Gene/Alex relationship. So much potential for fun and frolics, angst and pain with a little romance and drama -whats not to like? My stories do tend to have happy endings but are also full of drama and angst along with humour and fluff. Oh and I do tend to inject a little smut into the proceedings, especially in 'The Man Who Sold the World' - but then that story does start with Alex and Gene already being in a relationship. My current Ashes to Ashes to Ashes story is called Rumours of Angels. This was mainly borne out of my frustrations with the ending of Ashes to Ashes but also a self-imposed challenge to see if I could come up with something, if not exactly better, then at least happier for Alex and Gene. Of my previous stories, The Rage of Angels starts in July 1982 There's a serial killer to catch as a spate of gruesome murders in public places occur. Gene and Alex become closer than ever, but faces from the past intervene and both of their lives may be in danger. This doesn't really follow the events of Series 2 and although SuperMac does feature, most of the events of Series 2 don't happen in my story. I followed this with a sequel called Rage Against Time and this catches up with Gene and Alex three months after their wedding day. Gene has been promoted and the pair are pretty loved up, but shocking events in the first chapter threaten to tear them apart forever. I also enjoyed watching Demons on ITV with Philip Glenister and my tortured mind immediatly got to wondering about Rupert and Mina. A potentially fascinating relationship just begging to be written about - so I did! Bite Me is the result of my meanderings. My other obsession is period drama and what better than to combine with my Philip Glenister fascination. An Honourable Estate is based around the Mrs Gaskell story and BBC series Cranford. It starts with some of the events from episode 5 of the tv series but then diverges wildly from that. It explores what happens to Mr Carter's developing relationship with Miss Galindo after he survives the explosion at the railway. See, I told you I liked happy endings. I know that there are a couple of other Cranford stories about which is fantastic and can particularly recommend A Conspiracy of Concern by Katie Duggan's Niece. If you like period romance/smut check out my one-off story called She Walks in Beauty. This is based on the BBC story of Byron - more specifically William Fletcher who was Lord Byron's manservant and played by Philip Glenister in the film. My story begins where the film ended - Lord Byron is dead and Fletcher has returned to England after a period of eight years, hopefully to be reunited with the wife he had to leave behind. Inspired by The Other Boleyn Girl, I have written a one-off story called The Most Happy. The title comes from the motto of Anne Boleyn but my story follows her sister Mary and her husband William Stafford, as portrayed by the versatile Philip Glenister of course. If you enjoy reading any of my stories I hope you leave a review - I'd love to hear from you and its always good to hear than other people enjoy your work. It certainly encourages me to write more. |
