Author has written 11 stories for Lord of the Rings, Bible, Star Wars, and Star Wars.
If you're wondering where my pen name came from, it's a rough translation of my real name into Tolkien's Sindarin Elvish. One of its meanings is supposed to be 'dweller in the grey fortress,' and 'Mithostwen' literally means 'grey fortress maiden.'
Onto the actual bio:
My favorite stories have always had a habit of ending before I'm ready to be done engaging with them. When I was four, my solution to this problem was to pretend to be a lion and/or churn out a ridiculous number of drawings of Simba. Now that I'm better with words, I tend to use those instead, either to geek out with fellow humans about the interesting stuff a story is doing or to write more stories inspired by it.
A list of my favorite books would have to include Harry Potter, Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, Pride and Prejudice, The Book Thief, Hyperbole and a Half, and the Hunger Games series, though that list is nowhere near exhaustive. I love writing that make me think as much as I love writing that makes me laugh, and if you can do both, I will love you forever.
I also happen to be a fan of games, music, adorable animals, thunderstorms, and tea.
But enough about me. You're probably more interested in this:
News About My Stories (updated June 2017):
Stuff I haven't posted yet: There are a lot of stories in various stages of completion lurking in the shadowy corners of my computer's memory. More likely than not, the next project I work on will be yet another KotOR story, which... I don't want to spoil when it's still just in the planning phase and I don't know how long it will take me to write it.
What the History Holos Leave Out: I went ahead and posted the two completed chapters that I had sitting on my hard drive, even though they weren't meant to come next chronologically. I don't know when I'll have a chance to fill in the gaps. The Tatooine chapter is halfway done but I am very, very stuck on where to go with it.
Survivor Middle-Earth: I was hoping to post more chapters, but that won't be possible unless I find the notebook where it's written. (It's from the dark ages, AKA middle-school, when I actually wrote my stories on paper.) And at this point, I don't think that notebook is going to turn up.
Echoes of Light, my alternate ending to Revenge of the Sith, is complete. Thank you to everyone who gave me such great feedback! For those of you who were hoping for a sequel, I apologize. I doubt I'll be writing one. It's hard to get back into something that's lain dormant for so long, and I don't know where I would take it next.
N.A.Q. (Never Asked Questions, but things that I might wonder if I were reading this):
Yes, I am still alive. I haven't posted anything recently, in part because I've been going through a rough patch where trying to sort my life out had to take a higher priority, but my stories are still floating around in the back of my mind accumulating new ideas along with all the dust, and I hope to get back into writing again.
Thanks for reading! And may the Force be ever in your favor, my dear hobbits.
