Author has written 59 stories for Broadchurch, Doctor Who, and Gracepoint.
Big fan of David Tennant especially in 'Doctor Who' and 'Broadchurch' though I will watch anything he is in, good or bad.
I recently got to see him filming Broadchurch 2 on 6th October in West Bay. I watched him filming for about 90 minutes after a 300 mile trip and it was more than worth it to stand and stare at him. I was so close to him but security wouldn't let anyone take pictures or talk to any of the cast.
I always thought The Doctor and Rose should have got together and although it took a while, was happy they were reunited even though they never actually got to be together at the end. I am one who of those who thinks Rose and the half-human Doctor should have got their own series but David Tennant is a very busy man.
I cannot get enough of stories about Rose and the Doctor or the thought of Rose and Alec Hardy and now Emmett Carver getting together so as I have a lot of spare time on my hands and many sleepless nights, I like to write down the ideas I get. I hope to start some of Rose and the half-Human Doctor, there are so many good stories of Rose and TenII but I'm working on it, who knows, it may be my next story.
I like to creep in mentions of David Tennant into my stories as Rose's favourite Scottish actor because I think Rose would rather have fancied him at the time he was just starting to become popular in 2005/2006 when Rose was still in this universe and of course, there has to be a David Tennant in any universe - doesn't there? I even had her make The Doctor into a version of him in 'Rose and the Human Timelord' and 'Rose and the fully Human Timelord' where The Doctor takes on David's persona.
When describing Broadchurch, having been to West Bay, I try now to fit all the places in with the series and it's not always easy since it is actually filmed in different places. Neither West Bay or Bridport have a railway station but it makes it sound better.
I hate nothing more than people who claim they are fans of David but do nothing but criticise him - saying they don't like him with a beard, they don't like him with long hair (Which true fans would have known he had for the purpose of playing Richard II) and people telling him how he should dress. I say to them it is no-one's business but his what he does and a true fan would never criticise him, they would just accept him for who is is - a brilliant, amazing and talented actor and a truly amazing human being.
I acknowledge that Doctor Who and all it's characters belong to the BBC and all the characters of Broadchurch and Gracepoint belong to Chris Chibnall. Thanks Chris - Alec Hardy/Emmett Carver were the best roles David Tennant played since he left Doctor Who. Having seen some of the filming for Broadchurch 2, I am now enjoying watching it.
I won't be writing any Broadchurch stories about the new series for quite a while until everyone's had a chance to see it and I know now there are a lot of discrepancies such as Hardy's back-story and I'm not even going to speculate about that yet.
