Fanfic is what I do when I'm supposed to be working instead. Oops?

I tend to write stuff that is relationship-focused and stuff that is heavy on the plot. I adore AUs, the kind that hinge on changing a crucial point and then investigating how that changes things. I'm particularly fond of genderswaps and working with female characters—especially the ones who get short shrift in canon. The ladies are awesome and I like my fic to reflect that.

I'm really fond of playing with power and loyalty dynamics in character relationships. I don't exactly do the OTP thing; I have pairings I'm particularly fond of, but I also like multi-shipping some characters, even the ones for whom I have pet pairings. I write slash, femmeslash, het, and even gen from time to time, which is consistent with my understanding of sexuality and attraction as something that exists on a continuum, not a binary. Which is a long way of saying that I write a lot of different pairings; if you dig around, chances are good that you'll find something here you'll find palatable.

I am generally serially monogamous with my fandoms, though I do have the occasional wild one-night stand with a fandom here and there that results in one-off fics. Currently I'm seeing Kuroko no Basuke. Before that it was Katekyo Hitman Reborn, and before that Prince of Tennis, and before that it was Gundam Wing. This page is only a partial archive of my fanfic. It doesn't have the Gundam Wing stuff, and occasionally I write something that's smutty enough that I figure I'd better not post it here. The most complete archive of my fic lives at Archive of Our Own (user name: lysapadin) and I crosspost everything to Dreamwidth (user name: lysapadin), should you wish to go looking for the things too hot for Fanfiction.net to hold.

I do my best to reply to all comments left on my fics, though I am not always timely in doing so, and generally, comments from readers make my day.

Podfic, remixes, translations, and other extensions of my fic: You don't need to ask for my permission if you'd like to record a podfic of my stuff, do a remix, translate something, do fanart, write prequels/sequels, or otherwise play in my creative sandbox.
