Author has written 2 stories for North and South, and Christy.

Julia lives in Nebraska with her two teenage children. She teaches children with special needs and is working on her Ph. D. in education.

Julia is obsessed with North and South, although in many ways prefers the 1970's version of the mini-series to the more recent 2005 version. The book, to her, is lacking in so many emotional elements. Margaret is immature and so painfully naive. Maybe most victorian women were that way? The Margarets she creates are smart and sassy and know what they want... and they realize that is John Thornton!!

As Time Goes By by NeverIsTheEternal reviews
"It's still the same old story, a fight for love and glory, a case of do or die. The world will always welcome lovers as time goes by" - Herman Hupfeld. This is a continuation of the novel with light 2004 movie influences. I do not own the lyrics to As Time Goes By or the world and characters of Elizabeth Gaskell.
