The following is a poem I wrote back in the late 90s and is the source of my user name.

The Fallen Sky

It isn't real
My eyes deceive me
Through the darkness
I see you
A ghost in the distance
Haunting my soul
A shadow cast on my heart
Freezes it solid
I plead for warmth
But you have none to give
My tears fall in silence
As I mourn a love
And a shattered hope
Please, tell me it isn't real

As for me, I started out writing poetry in high school, but I also dabbled in some original fiction. After a while, I kinda gave up writing, but then I discovered fanfiction. At first, I was just a lurker, but I soon found that I had to speak up and let the writers of some of my favorite stories know that I appreciated their work. Somewhere along the way, I made a few friends, and one in particular, mygyps17, not-so-subtly urged me to try writing some of my own fanfiction. Suffice to say, I did, and I haven't looked back.

I like a wide variety of TV shows and movies, along with some cartoons and comics. My ship preferences are also quite varied, though the ship dearest to me is Chlark from Smallville. It's the one that really sucked me into the world of fanfic. It's also the ship that led me to meet mygyps17, which in turn led me to write fanfic in the first place. So, I guess you could say I owe my fanfic writing career to Chlark. :-)

I try not to post stories unless I've already completed them, because my muse is fickle, and I don't want to tease people by leaving a story unfinished. I know how frustrating it is to find a story you truly love only to find that it's been abandoned. However, I've been in a writing rut lately, and I've got several partially finished stories that are just languishing on my computer. So, I've decided to post some of them with the hope that maybe my muse will wake up and allow me to finish them. Plus, even if I never get around to finishing them, I think someone should enjoy what I've written. After all, maybe someone will read one of them and be inspired to write something of their own.
