I was born right along with Star Trek in 1966, and it remains my first love, along with Godzilla.
My name is Rob Morris, with Gojirob being a combination of my name and Godzilla. I live in Belmar, New Jersey, once widely known as a Shore party town.
My hobby-turned-obsession for the last few years has been turning the Elfen Lied Wiki into something to be proud of. I also have an Elfen Lied fic series 'Long Live The Queen', set mostly after the loss of its main character. Lucy is gone, but Kouta and the others, those who loved her and those that hated her will find she is gone but not forgotten--especially as the Diclonius War begins. In addition to these, there are 'Elfen Liner Notes' - sidestories set before, during and even after the series, showing how the situations affect characters inside and outside the series.
I have an Avatar : TLA series as well. which I've named 'The Bridge'. Like many of my stories, I prefer dealing with the problems of success than showing off new ones. This is not to say challenges old and new aren't around and waiting. This series is now officially an AU to the various ATLA comics being published, some of which I find highly disagreeable, no disrespect to Dante Basco's appearance on Nostalgia Critic.
I'm having fun with a series of Voltron fics called 'Interlock', set inbetween moments on the classic cartoon series, and featuring both teams. This series asks questions like : Why did Keith's team go to Arus, and the other fifteen to the Explorer? When did Jeff's group first form Vehicle Voltron? How was it Planet Doom was broken in the first finale, but was once more a huge threat in the new episodes? Why are there ancient legends of Voltron, when we know King Alfor built it in recent times? BTW, the 30th Anniversary Coffee Table Book was awesome to look at, but it was a lot like icing with no cake - and don't tell me the finale comic wasn't fanfic. Folks, GrimDark only works if there is non-GrimDark out and about.
I am so very sorry for the total lack of updates recently. I will try and explain.
1 - My father is dying of cancer in three areas. He could be with us for a while, but likely not. This has taken a lot of my time and attention, as you might imagine.
2 - I am studying to get a new, much-better paying job in Medical Billing. This means study time, and recently, I had to jump on that hard.
3 - My current job, contract security, does not pay so well and by definition makes unexpected demands on my time and energy.
Believe me, I want to write. I even had to cut back on beta-ing for Denizen1 on his awesome Superfriends finale, and I love that piece. Something's got to give, but not one of these stories is off my radar. Maybe after my Dad moves to a smaller place, I can resume in a meaningful way. I hopefully will have something up very soon.
'Goji' Rob Morris
Working on 'Long Live The Queen' as we speak. Hopefully by or before Halloween.
