Sans is putting himself through hell - not knowing that there's someone out there who wants to save him. Based on the Dusttale AU.

Berdly's search for Noelle in the cyber city is coming up dry, but then he notices the city is unusually silent thanks to the duo of a ruthless Kris and Noelle. The bird genius is in for the fight of his life, but hopefully this weird route of frozen chicken will change for the better when this gamer gets serious. (Summary 2.0 because the last one was written at 4 am)

Kris and Noelle bake some cookies.

In which Noelle tries to stay safe during the least wonderful time of the year.

As the two walk through the city, Noelle considers her friend Kris.

Determined to help himself, his friends and the world, Kris learns to face his demons and to understand the unknown force that threatens to harm him. For him, he needs to keep his soul tended and full of kindness. But not too much, for it could kill him and everyone he's ever known.

It's a birdcage. When the door's closed, there's no escape.

"Kris" asks their gamer friend Berdly how he'd hypothetically handle finding out that the character he played as was a real sentient person who knows about all the messed up things he made them do in past runs. It's a purely hypothetical question, of course, and has absolutely nothing to do with a real situation that they find themselves in. Nope, not at all. Crack.

In a rare moment of self-control, Kris manages to speak for themselves, rather than letting 'that' voice speak for them. And Noelle, confused and shaken, manages to find the strength to confide in the only other person who can help her now. Post-Snowgrave Route. (Now featuring an extra little epilogue!)

They gave Noelle a simple command.

Just two friends exploring a forest. Nothing more.

(Takes place during the ferris wheel scene in Deltarune Chapter 2 during the Genocide or 'Snowgrave' route.) Susie finds Noelle and rescues her from the evil Queen's clutches. But something is wrong. Noelle is acting strange. And she's freezing.

Papyrus notices an odd coloration poking out of the golden flower bed near the entrance of the ruins, when Queen Toriel instructs him to water the flowers. Set after the first half of the Pacifist run when Frisk leaves the barrier, leaving the monsters underground after they leave Frisk a voicemail. Toriel returns as Queen to rule the underground in place of the late King Asgore.

When the two Brothers finally make it home, they soon find out that their parents won't be back for another week. During this time, Shigeo falls very ill. Fearing he might loose his brother, Ritsu had no other choice but to rely on Reigen for help but they soon find out that they aren't the only ones who have been watching over Mob in his unstable condition.

Reigen took pride in being a man who could talk his way out of any sticky situation. Until he couldn't. Mob never really did dwell on the fact that his Shishou's body wasn't half as resilient as his own. Until he did.

Mayor Holiday asks Chief Undyne for some advice regarding her daughter.

"It's not mine! IT'S NOT MINE!" Kris had insisted no, PLEADED that this was the case when his soul separated from his body at the fountain of darkness. Susie had refused to listen to him then, but the longer she knew 'Kris', the less sure she was. Was his soul truly an enigma from all of humanity? Was he being controlled? And more importantly, which Kris was the REAL Kris?

Life and school in Hometown go on as normal, but Susie notices that Kris seems to be very unhappy for some reason. Being his friend calls her into action, of course, and so she tries to help him to the very best of her abilities...will it be enough to help the human though?

In an effort to bond with his son, Asgore prepares a nice fishing trip for the two of them. Not all goes as planned...

The holidays are a happy time where family both near and far come together to celebrate and catch up with the gossip and news in their lives. For Kris, this reunion with their brother Asriel is long overdue. However while waiting for both the new year and a potential new different Asriel, Kris finds their anxieties and worries overwhelm them and disappears. Has Asriel Changed?

As the Fun Gang sets off on a quest to eliminate this malevolent spirit, they quickly find themselves hunted by a merciless warrior, and soon realize this endeavor was far more than they bargained for.

Susie and Kris love the weekend. The fun squad comes together again every time. But Susie seems reluctant to go home. Why is she so afraid? Maybe the Dark World isn't a bad place for her to grow up. (Rated T for mention of abuse, neglect, and alcoholism. I'll probably update once a month or so.)

Noelle's question was one they imagined would be awkward, albeit Kris was willing to ask Susie anyway. After a harrowing experience of fighting to destroy a fountain that spewed shadows, it was perhaps an anticlimactic finish to their day to invite Susie to their house to work on their project (i.e. hang out and play games). So came their question: "Do you prefer boys, or girls?"

For days after their journey, Kris is continually absent from school. Susie is left only to speculate at first, but she soon learns the chilling truth: a mysterious incident has left Kris hospitalized and unresponsive, and no one seems to have any answers. Of course, when Kris' friends from the Dark World hear the news, they're determined to find those answers.

How long can it take to get some chalk? Berdly checks up on the two miscreants, but finds someone else.

The events of the day before Deltarune. Kris is struggling with a recurring nightmare, and intense fatigue has set in. Desperate to break the pattern, they turn to someone they've needed many times before for help.

Tomorrow has arrived. Even though it's a weekend and the school is closed, Kris wants to look for the chalk in the storage closet again. But before they can go, they need to make one very important stop. Deltarune AU, spoilers.
