Figured it's time to update the old profile once more. So, I'm a guy that gets a thousand different ideas in his head, but I only write the ones that knaw away at me since I honestly don't have the patience to write all the time, something that has admittedly led to the downfall of many of my stories. However, I am unashamed of what I have posted or will post. In the end, they are ideas made by a fan, for fans, and that's all this ever amounts to. I appreciate constructive criticism on my stories. That means I appreciate when flaws are pointed out within the story that negatively impact it. This does not include intentional character flaws or intended mistakes that are posted within the story for a reason. As for my main interests, I have a wide variety of media that I enjoy, however, that doesn't nessicarily mean that I will always write for my preferred fandoms, if I can't get an interesting idea in my head for them that keeps eating at me. You can find me on Twitter or message me here for both requests and simple conversation, if you're that kind of person. However, please keep in mind that just because I will ear out requests does not mean I will always accept them. Now, onto the typical list of my preferred fandoms. Video Games: Prototype is my favorite, hands down, no contest. However, I do have other games that I play as well, such as Dead by Daylight, Ark, and Mortal Kombat off the top of my head. Shows: I enjoy Transformers immensely, and it remains among both my favorite films and my favorite cartoons, though I also enjoy shows such as the Boys, Invincible, and the Walking Dead. Movies: As stated above, I do enjoy the Transformers movies, but I seem to have a particular interest in Horror movies. My favorites are the Friday the 13th series, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and the Saw franchise. Books: Not gonna lie, despite an interest in reading and writing fanfictions, actual books are not my niche. Outside of books I read with class in School, the only books I've read through because I was interested Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes, and Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. Outside of that, I have my own personal project I'm working on titled Strength, a superhero story with more focus on the personal challenges that come with holding such power. Considering I've incorporated the world of Strength into so many of my stories lately, I've decided to put the character overviews on my page for anyone who's curious about the five main characters themselves and doesn't want to read the plot outline for the story. Strength characters used in my stories: John Gallagher Age: 15 Height: 6’5” Bio: John Gallagher is a rare kind of soul. He’s blunt and straightforward in his words, sometimes to the point of being rude, but he is also kind to those around him, and he possesses quite a quick wit. After being tortured by Jason Meadows and co, John develops superstrength in response to the torture, triggered when his body is stressed to it’s peak when John realizes that Jason plans to inflict the same pain on his siblings, allowing him to break free and force his captors to flee. John is also somewhat brash and quick to make a decision he feels is best without carefully thinking it through, regardless of the consequences, such as when he alienates Maddie for her disagreement in his decision to join the superhuman militia. However, in spite of any ill will they may feel towards him, John loves his friends and family deeply and will gladly risk his life to keep them safe, as shown when he pushes Maddie and Levi to safety when Jason attacks, even after being harshly and coldly rejected when he apologized. Due to his time in captivity, John suffers from PTSD, most prominently, intense nightmares of his time on the table, accompanied by a discomfort for extended periods of silence, as that was all that there was outside of the torture sessions. In spite of being believed to be the physically most powerful person on the planet, John does have a rather glaring weakness due to his powers; since his body is a lot denser than a normal person’s, John is physically incapable of remaining afloat in large bodies of water, sinking down to the bottom when entering them. This weakness is made even more deadly since John still requires oxygen to live like anyone else, meaning he can drown and, if deprived of air in any way, suffocate. He also has accelerated regenerative abilities, unknowingly triggered by the abuse he suffered at his step-father’s hands. These events have shaped him into the resilient boy he is today, and are the main reasons why he’s so often the unstoppable force he needs to be. Maddie Thompson Age: 15 Height: 5’2” Bio: Maddie Thompson is the soul of kindness born of a life of pain. Her parents, Floyd and Alice Thompson, are both addicts to controlled substances such as meth and heroin, and Alice used to regularly do such with John’s own mother, Alicia, which is how the two met. As children, the two would play together and occupy themselves as their mothers did the drugs, until Floyd and Alice moved to Portsmouth with Maddie when she was four, unintentionally severing her friendship with John for five years, as the Gallaghers didn’t frequent Portsmouth and were unwarned of the move. Maddie is a kind and caring person, always ready to help people and spend time with her loved ones, a contrast to her own parents behavior, as she feels it best to learn from her own parents' mistakes and try to be a better person than they were. However, Maddie is not without her faults. She can be immensely stubborn, and she doesn’t know how to lose an argument, something she has in common with John. Also, due to their aforementioned five year separation, Maddie has abandonment issues in regards to John, and develops intense separation anxiety when separated from him for extended periods of time. However, when push comes to shove, she is immensely loyal to her friends and will do anything to keep them safe, even if it means lashing out against something she has no chance against, such as when she stood up to Jack and Tiberius after the former nearly drowned John. Levi Graham Age: 15 Bio: Levi Graham has a rather laid back attitude. He’s always eager to talk to people and make friends easily, and he has no problem helping out people when he they ask. He is also immensely loyal to his friends, and is not afraid to call anyone out on actions that he deems as unacceptable, such as when he confronted and pushed John away when he discovered that John had completely cut himself off from Maddie due to her refusal to support his decision regarding the militia. Levi is also a quick thinker, able to think of successful ideas on the fly, such as when he triggered the fire alarm in an effort to evacuate the Portsmouth West High School when a superhuman brawl commenced between John and Jason. He was also quick to call Rachel and Peter to back up John, rather than rush after him alongside Maddie since he knew it was far too dangerous for any normal person, showing a skill of rational thinking. Levi is one of John’s oldest and best friends, having met him on the bus on the first day of kindergarten, and the two have remained best friends ever since. He also cared deeply for his friends, and it was shown that despite believing John to no longer deserve their friendship, he felt immense guilt upon learning that Jason had been using himself and Maddie as a front in order to monitor John, unintentionally allowing John’s torturer to maintain his facade. Peter Wyling Age: 16 Bio: Peter Wyling is a gentle giant. He’s a kind hearted soul who wishes for nothing more than peace, and is the first to put his life on the line in an effort to help people. Not that his life is ever really in any danger. Peter possesses the ability to create and control an immensely durable metal material, allowing him to create weapons or other tools, or coat his skin in it as a tough shell, which also enhances his strength as his body is now completely impervious to harm. Not even John can break the metal. However, that also works the other way around, as though Peter’s metal is seemingly indestructible, he himself does not possess enough strength and power to do any actual damage to John himself, making the two essentially equal in terms of power. Though typically kind and calm, Peter can find himself losing his usually cool and calculating attitude in a haze of anger, and he does not react well to being kept in the dark on certain topics. He was upset with Alex when the militia leader neglected to inform them that it was Jason who tortured John, despite Jason being a high-priority target for the militia, and he rendered Tibe comatose in a fit of rage after Tibe taunts him with a cruel joke in regards to his mother. Peter carries immense guilt for the death of his mother. Even though his intentions were pure, Peter didn’t understand at his young age that his abilities made everything around him more fragile than he believed, and this resulted in him tearing his mother’s arm off and causing her to bleed to death when he attempted to pull her from the totaled vehicle. Rachel Lauren Age: 15 Bio: Rachel is a troubled soul. She often keeps to herself, and is usually very quiet around those she doesn’t know. Among friends, she becomes more talkative and outgoing, and is often a bright, bubbly girl determined to spread joy to her loved ones. However, Rachel is somewhat afraid to make friends out of fear of harming them, stemming from an incident in her childhood where her dysfunctional parents were arguing, causing her immense stress and triggering the ability to create and control fire when she snapped at her parents, which unintentionally scarred her younger brother, who was hugging her for comfort during the incident. As such, Peter became the only real friend she had until John came along. Rachel also has a bit of a temper problem. She was easily set off by Jack during their fight at the Ironton power plant, which caused her to progressively get more sloppy in the fight and nearly allowed Jack to overwhelm her until she triggered an extremely powerful explosion. Rachel cares deeply for her loved ones, and will gladly do anything she can to help them and keep them safe when the time comes. |
