Welcome! Leave your shoes at the door and scroll on down!

Feel free to PM me! :)

My FictionPress: Jillessa Heronstairs

-Well, I Guess You Guys Are Wondering, At Least A Little Bit, About Me-

Name: Madi, but you can call me Jillessa.

Age: Too old, yet not young enough.

Ethnicity: Very Asian.

Favorite Color: Mauve? Maroon?

Parabatai: Le amazing TenKEqualsAHundredNowSolveForK, who puts up with all my craziness. Yes, I know, it's a long name. Thank me. I thought of it.

OTP: Jessa. Wessa. Jillessa. Heronstairs. PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME CHOOSE!

Fatal Flaw: Tying ponytails without missing hair, and a lack of patience. That, and updating my stories in a timely manner. Also my indecisiveness... But I'm not really sure about that one. And being in my own world in my mind when people are talking to me.

Bae: Hahaha no. Do Jem and Will count?

Instruments: Violin and piano... Well, at least I used to. Just like Jace and Jem, though. Which is weird, because I began playing both before I read any of Cassie Clare's books. It must have been fate... ;)

Sports: Does walking to the kitchen to get food count as a sport?

Fave Music Artists: Almost anything. From classical, to pop, to Irish folk music.

September 3, 2014: I met the perfect real life Jem Carstairs. Like, seriously. He was Asian, and he was a PROFESSIONAL VIOLINIST. And not to mention, he was really really really cute. But he was also like in his mid twenties...HE LOOKED LIKE HE COULD BE A JUNIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL THOUGH.

Obsessions: The Infernal Devices, FanFiction, Hot Cheetos, writing, daydreaming, banter, listening to music, watching murder mystery shows on Netflix, and white chocolate.

Unobsessions: Peanuts and tree nuts... because I'm allergic, the smell of lavender, when my phone dies/runs out of data, people who think they are so much better than everyone else, homework, when boys are super oblivious, and when people think that they can impose their views on me and tell me that TMI is better than TID.

As I write more and more stories, where the plot enables the story to go in either direction, Jessa or Wessa, I often get reviews asking me to incorporate more Wessa. An overwhelming majority, actually. Where's the love for Jessa?

Now, this is all my opinion. I'm not saying that whether I personally choose Jessa or Wessa, that my opinion is what is right. I just have reasons for preferring one couple over the other. And you may agree with me, or you may not. Also, by saying I like one ship over the other, it doesn't mean that I don't absolutely love the other one as well. I think that you can tell from my username what my all time favorite views are.

So here is the big shocker. Between Jessa and Wessa, I choose Wessa. When I originally read the books, I definitely shipped Jessa more, but now, two years later, my views have changed. I fell in love with Jessa because Jem is perfect, sweet, and incredibly loving and talented. Will, on the other hand, was sort of an ass. But then I started reading FanFiction, and my views slowly changed. Don't get me wrong, Jem is still awesome and I'm ecstatic that he's not a silent brother anymore, and that Jessa is finally happening. But now, since Lady Midnight has come out, I find myself looking forward more to Chain of Thorns, because of Wessa. Not that I still won't read Lady Midnight, because Jessa is literally the almost best. I'm telling you, this decision was incredibly hard to make. But over everything, because of Will's personality and the way it changed throughout the books, I personally ship Wessa more than Jessa.

It's not that Jem is in anyway inferior. My thoughts are, because of the way that Tessa breaks down the walls around Will, and is such a perfect match to him, I prefer them together. If say, Tessa had a completely different personality. Say that she didn't love books, and didn't have that in common with Will. She might not have fallen in love with Will, and he with her. Jem however, would have still been a perfect gentleman, and who wouldn't fall for him? If Will and Tessa hadn't shared a love of books, and created a connection through that, I would probably prefer Jessa. But because Tessa is able to change Will so much, for the better, I prefer Wessa.

Perhaps the moral of the argument here, is that Jem is a freaking GOD. He's perfect in everyway and everyone loves him.

Will, however, is flawed, but with Tessa, he is able to overcome those fears, lies, and imperfections.

And that is why, in a nutshell, Wessa beats out Jessa, by a teeny tiny fraction of a percent.

-Guide To My Stories, If You Want To Know What They Are About-

-Completed One-Shot(s)/Collections [TID/TMI Based]-

The Warlocks And The Magic Con Men: Originally for a challenge that I decided to take part in, this story is based on the quote in The Mortal Instruments, where Max asks, "But aren't all warlocks bad?", and Isabelle replies, "Exactly." In this AU, however, Max is asking the question, "But aren't all magic con men bad?" This magic con man in question, is Magnus, the Lightwood's new card trick performing neighbor, who makes quite an impression on Alec. All Malec.

Change: In this one shot, a modern day twist on The Infernal Devices is taking place at The London Institute in England. Tessa Gray, the new girl, comes to enroll in the school, and becomes fast friends with Will, Jem, Cecily, and others, changing all of their lives for better and for worse. Secrets are revealed, and nothing is what it seems as romance flourishes, personalities change, and everyone knows something the others don't. Will it turn out all right? Jessa, Wessa, Heronstairs, Jillessa, Gabrily, Sophideon, and one more unlikely ship, all tied together by the sibling love of Will and Cecily.

This is FanFiction, Dude: In this AU one shot, Will, Jem, and Tessa, are doing on of their favorite hobbies, which is none other than reading FanFiction! From their personal opinions of many of the stories we see here on a daily basis, they tell us what they really think of the stories. That is, until they come to one that Tessa finds, that is just so ridiculous and unbelievable, it changes their whole view of FanFiction. Complete and utter parody. It's supposed to just be random and funny. No hate, please. :)

Tales From The New York Institute: These are short little stories about the characters from The Mortal Instruments. Jace creates a white Christmas using only a snow cone maker and a hell of a lot of ice, and Jace and Clary, Isabelle and Simon, and Magnus and Alec go on a triple date. Those are only a sample of what goes when the curtains are closed!

Tales From The London Institute: This is basically like Tales From The New York Institute, but in a way so much better! Idk. I'm just a super huge Infernal Devices fan! What happens when Will, Jem, and Tessa go out to eat at a Chinese restaurant, and one of the later ones, where Tessa and Jessamine play a trick on Will, resulting in Jem's violin getting broken?

Tales From The Los Angeles Institute: This is a collection of short one-shot stories from the Ls Angeles Institute, full of drama, humor, and friendship. From a midnight snack to chasing demons across the city, to getting into mischief, Emma, Julian, and the members of the Los Angeles Institute always have something fun going on.

-Completed Plot-Based Stories [TID/TMI Based]-

Love Me, Hate Me, Believe In Me: This was actually my first Wessa fanfic ever. I used to be a huge Jessa fan, after I read the original books, but then I began reading FanFiction, and BAM! Huge Wessa shipper now, as well. Anyways, this story is about Tessa Gray, who is kidnapped and held hostage. However, unlike the other unlucky girls there, she was intentionally chosen by her captor, Will Herondale, and has less a chance of leaving than anyone else. This is a very fast moving fanfic, as the whole story takes place over maybe...three days? I'm not sure. But I can tell your that they fall fast, and they fall hard into love, and they make the best of their situation.

At Last, The Wheel Comes Full Circle: It's 2090, and Tessa is in the world by herself. Jem and Will have both passed years ago, and she sees little hope for the future. The only thing she has to rely on is her memories, and when she takes a trip to London, the place where it all started, her hopes are renewed. There, she meets two young boys, who both prove that nothing is impossible, and Jem was right when he had always told her: Souls that love each other find their way to each other in the next life.

If The Book Opinions Fit: In a TID renovation of Cinderella, Tessa is servant to her stepfather, Mortmain, and her two stepsisters, Jessamine and Tatiana. When a royal ball is advertised by none other than the loyal James, messenger to the Prince William Herondale, it is made clear that the prince is looking to be wed, and is hosting the ball to find a suitable lady. Can Tessa get to the ball and win William's heart, or are her stepsisters intent on destroying her hopes and dreams and marrying the prince themselves?

-Incomplete Plot-Based Stories [TID/TMI Based]-

A Real Life Movie: I actually got the idea for this story in a daydream, and I just had to write a story about it. I'm sure we all have once imagined being an actress, and making out with our favorite celebrities, haven't we? Well, in this AU, Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs are those celebrities, and Tessa Gray is the overnight celebrity, discovered at Target. Immediately cast in the brand new movie, Clockwork Angel, alongside Jem and Will, she begins to learn the life of the movie world, complete with drama, paparazzi, screaming fans, and hot guys.

A New Life In London: High school fanfics are overrated, aren't they? No, they are not. To hell with anyone who claims that they are all the same, and therefore not interesting. I say, every one is unique, and honestly, they're some of my favorite stories to read. And that's why I decided to write one. Revolving around Tessa Gray, it chronicles her stay at The London Institute, a private school that she has received a full scholarship to attend. There, she meets new people, who change her life in both positive and negative ways. There are two girls, Jessamine and Tatiana, who strive to make school a living hell for her, and two boys, Will and Jem, who are there to pick up the pieces, and love and support her. One problem? These four people are the most popular students in the entire school.

Tess, The Writer; Tessa, The Musician: I find it quite annoying, sometimes, when people demand that I change my story to the other ship than it's currently in. I mean, if you ask nicely, I'll add in more of the moments from the ship you want, but...Once someone asked to to make one of my stories, which took place in modern times... And Will had passed already, into Wessa...Okayyy... Anyways, in this story, you will have both ships, in the best way possible. Tess and Tessa are identical twins. Tess, is a writer, and Tessa is a musician. Attending the London Institute for college, they meet Will and Jem, as well as The Lightwoods, Sophie, Cecily, and many more, who turn their life upside down, in the best way possible.

The Royal Feud: The Herondale family and the Carstairs family have never been the closest of friends. In fact, they're close to enemies. In this Romeo and Juliet themed story, both families wish for their son to get married, and who better to get married to than Theresa Gray, a well known and loved young lady of the town? It becomes clear that it is Tessa who will do the deciding, and it's not an easy choice. As both boys fight each other to win her heart, lines get blurred and facts get overlooked. Will she choose the dark haired, blue eyes bad boy with a soft side, or the kind, silver haired sweetheart with a secret? Set in Renaissance time.

Playing A Dangerous Game: Will Herondale and Jem Carstairs are two best friends with quite a bad reputation in the Towns. On the other hand, Tessa Grey is a straight A, quiet, studious student. When they meet, there is instant attraction, and Will and Jem start to influence her life, though it is not an entirely positive change. However, as Tessa gets to know the two, she learns that they are not all the seem, as no one ever really is. Can she not change their life and bring them into the light?

Memoirs: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." Memories. Those precious moments that pass by in a fleeting second, but hold so much meaning, so much life, so much love. A high five as two parabatai take down a demon together for the first time. A silent congratulations when an invention finally turns out right. A moment in time may or may not have been memorable, in the moment. But now, they are.

-OC Character One-Shot/s (Collections) [Shadowhunter World Based]-

Raspberries: A story of three OC characters in the Shadowhunter World who's love lives intertwine in a way that cause hurt, pain, happiness, and other emotions. If everyone likes someone else, will anyone ever be really happy? This is the story of how they came to be, feelings torn apart and emotions twisted.

Faded Sunsets: An OC story revolving around Clarisse and Zander, two Wild Hunt faeries, and Felix, a half-pixie. Set in the Shadowhunter World, it becomes clear that to some, love for another person, boy or girl, isn't always the most important thing, and instead, the feelings for some of our closest friends may prove even more important.

Fifty Shades Of Shae: The past of Shae, an OC Shadowhunter, has been a complicated and long journey. From growing up in an aspiring Institute, her life turned around when she was moved to a very influential Institute, where she learned her raunchy ways. But now, at the New York Institute, will things change when she realizes that she can't be what she always has been?

The Art Of Forgiveness/Lost At Sea: Two sides of the same story, Emily is the girl who is head over heels for a young man who has never treated her like she deserves. But then again, does he not have his reasons, his fears, and his wishes? What does it take to tear them apart, only to later bring them back together? Is everything what it seems to be, or are their personalities interfering with a happy ending?

Crack Stories For The Soul: Short crack stories revolving around various OC characters, putting them in ridiculous situations that would probably never, in a million years, happen. Purely for fun and entertainment. Enjoy, or don't. It's sort of an acquired taste. ;)

Heartbeat Mistress: Faced with chronic depression, life for Emily hasn't ever really been easy. However, until lately, she's dealt with is and held her head high, keeping up the image that nothing is really wrong. But now, after everything has changed, can she keep up that facade any longer, or will she have to resort to desperate measures? Story told through the views of Emily, her (sort of) boyfriend Khoi, and a girl who could change everything, Amie.

Celestial: Amie is a regular teenage Shadowhunter with a talent. She can rune Downworlders, and has built her life around it. A complex character, she thrives in working for others and finding out things that they cannot by themselves. Because of this, her reputation is a mysterious one, and there's much to know about her. This is only a brief look into what she really is.

Papercut: Song-Fic based on Zedd's Papercut. It is a quick rehash of the whole Aria x Quinn drama, and what happens now, when everything is said and done/ Nothing can and will be the same, all chances exhausted. Or is it really the end?

Photograph: Everyone of us is unique, living our own lives as we see fit and making out own choices. If only there were people to look in a speculate on what we seem to do. Chances are, they would draw completely different conclusions to the scene. Without names or background, are we completely lost?

-One-Shot(s)/ Plot-Based Stories [Not TID-TMI Based]-

Balthazar Is Back(Supernatural): Just a story story about what Balthazar might have been thinking if he survived Castiel's angel blade in the finale of Season 6. I have this feeling that he wouldn't be too happy, and he would have some very choice words for his attempted murderer.

A Notebook For The Future(Paper Towns): Quentin has finished college at Duke University, and it's his graduation day. However, with everything going on, there's only one person on his mind. Margo. He's never fallen out of love for her. Then he sees her in the front row of the audience, and afterwards, she asks him to leave with her, start a new life with her, and he is once again faced with a difficult decision. Will he make a different choice this time?

-Upcoming Stories And Ideas-

Alone, But Not Entirely Forgotten(Fifty Shades Of Grey): Christian Grey is only three years old. His mother is a 'crack whore' who goes out night and day, leaving him alone in their dreary, desolate apartment. Through the loneliness, misery, and cold nights, he still manages to live his life in the small house. But as everything really so bad? Was there not those little moments of his childhood, when he was truly loved, and in return, loved back? This is the story of all of them, happy and sad, that made him who he grew up to be.
