Author has written 9 stories for Sonic the Hedgehog, Cars, Transformers/Beast Wars, Batman, and Princess and the Frog.
Howady, well if any of ya'll enjoyed reading any of my work and wanted know a bit of the author, you're in the right place.
From my accent, I am an Okie and proud of it. I was born in a small town but lived in the big city for most of my life, although I alternate between the two. Most call me TJ for short, I'm gal that's lived for 25 years but am really 12, I' just graduated college with a degree in architectural engineering; I enjoy the arts, math, science, and ancient history but I'm poor in english, I blame my accent. (Sometimes in my writing, if a have an accent in one part and non in another it's from years of having english teachers beat'n grammar in me.) However I enjoy the creative aspect of writing , I just need help every once in a while with grammar checks like everyone else. Although I'm go'n into engineering and the military, a few of my art buddies and I hope to open our own animation studio, and I write graphic novels in my spare time. I'm a fan of traditional animation, stopmotion, cell, I'm okay with flash but I hate CGI!
I have a Great Pyrnees(Lazerus) , two cats(Casper and Taz), a cockatiel (Kirbal), a collard dove (Archimedes), aand two guinea pigs (Mackaminno and Nessa).
I am a child of 90s TV entertainment. Don't ask me on 90s popular rock or hiphop music, my parents ruled the radio and I listened to country or oldies rock all the time. I grew up on Nickiloion (However you spell it) Rugrats, Ah real monsters, rocko's modern life, Ren and Stimpy. Others: Batman Animated Series, Gargoyles, Looney Tunes, Merrie Melodies's cartoons, Dexter Labratory, Courage the Cowardly Dog. I'm also a huge Indian Jones fan. Sorry, I'm showing my age.
But I watch new cartoons too, Cyborg009, Transformers Animated, Chowder, Flapjack, Cars, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, South Park, Robot Chicken, Family Guy... yeah adult swim is in there. I remember when it first came on on CN. "ALL KIDS OUT OF THE POOL!"
As of video games, I'm a nintendo fan, I have a Super N., 64, Wii, two game boys. But I like the older games better, Donkey Kong Country, Legend of Zelda, Pokemon (the first 1- 151 !), and Sonic. Again, showing my age.
FAQ: Couple of questions I have gotten on here and deviantart over the years.
Q: How did you get ShimmeringPhoenix?
A: This started six years ago when I first got web accounts, my friends and I picked a mythical being for each of us, and I got saddled with the Phoenix, also my real name in Japanese means bird and my friend who is a Japanese entertainment fanatic calls me birdy and gives me Phoenix themed presents every year... well it just stuck after all these years. I added shimmering to it because I love shining things. I use ShimmeringPhoenix on all of my webaccounts such as deviantart, steam, and other minor places if you wish to find me on deviantart or other places.
Q: Are you ADD or ADHD?
A: As weird as this sounds, I have gotten this question multiple times; and No, I ain't. Took some of my friends years to figure this out, I'm quirky and as an engineer I'm curious how things work and tend to observe my surroundings too much and things out of the ordinary such as a pencil lodged in the ceiling amuse or astoud me. Or shining things. In 9th grade, my drama teacher thought I was ADD too and kicked me out since she didn't want to put up with me and instead I joined AFJROTC. True story! Fact is weirder than fiction!
Q: Do I ride a horse or tractor to school in Oklahoma?
A: No, I don't even own a horse or tractor but I do admit that would be cool. I have heard of some schools allow that.
Q: When you set dates on your next update, can they be expected.
A: No, I would really like to follow them but the unexpected happens, especially in school, and I get pushed back. I'm sorry, but writing on here is a hobby.
Q: Do you write slash or yai?
A: NO! I have nothing against folks who read or write it, but I really don't care for it, and most don't even make sense to me between characters.
"Music can soothe the savage beast, but a brick to the head can do it faster."
"There is a fine line between geinus and insanity, guess what... I just erased it."
"If a kid leans back in his chair where it is on two legs and he falls, either he'll learn from his mistakes or the floor will knock some sense into him."
Farnsworth: Good lord! According to the spetrolyzer, Spragel's secret ingredient was... water! Ordinary water! Fry: Ah, to the real gift Spragel gave you was confidence. The confidence to by your best. Farnsworth: Yes ordinary water, laced with nothing more than a few spoonfuls of LSD
"The Rook" I hit a really bad snag, I still haven't figured how to play 'Rook' so might be a while.
"Habillation" I plan on finishing but I'm looking for a job so not the best time
"This is our turf" The second movie killed it for me
"Forgotten Faces" I don't know why I leave it up, just to remind myself that my writing has improved I guess.
